For a casual FP team, I think we are doing a decent job of getting the action going in the queues. Some good fights tonight and some tough opponents in there but remember not everyone is FP veterans and it should still have a fun atmosphere.

That was a fun night of private matches and of course I may not have won the tournament but I think I may have gotten the highest team damage at 680 points. Dakka Wolf for the win!!!

We have one more spot open as we need a new Taco. After having a duel mid-drop for the title of 'True Taco', one of our members needs to be replaced with someone more ... taco-ey. So if you like to fight, don't mind getting shot at by team mates and are willing to be the top snack based pilot, then IDI is the place for you.

Beverages need not apply.

That was a great night of FP, only the single loss but it was at ceasefire and well......... we did try a LURMaggedon defence for the giggles and yes IDI is recruiting. Would you like to know more?

[IDI] are still looking for some more players willing to work as part of a team, that don't mind getting stuck into a brawl even when it's a tough fight and can still laugh about it if we lose.

We play for fun, fight hard and laugh long but don't mind if you "accidentally" scrape some armour off of Devlin's legs.

My name is Dalziel (pronounced "DL" as if saying the letters) and I was piloting 'Mechs for a long time from April 2013, but I dropped out in 2014 (just prior to clans and faction play) because of ill-health and changes to my job.

I consider myself a (filthy) casual player. I'm older and my reflexes are not up to competition. I have over 1,000 kills in 'Mechs and I am running at K/D of 1.17. I know that killing enemy 'Mechs is not the be-all-and-end-all; I play well in a team and I am task-orientated when needs be. Otherwise I simply love the B'Tech universe (I have an extensive collection of the wargame and RPG books) and I like chat and banter with people. I don't really swear that often and I can be a bit quiet on the comm at times, but I enjoy listening. I am a signed up a founder member of Team Numpty and have been known to get stuck in scenery or fall off things with regularity.

Pug and I used to be in the same lance once upon a time. He can vouch for my ability, insofar as he was watching me in his rear view mirror as I struggled to keep up with him. I managed (mostly) not to shoot him in the back.

I have a stable of IS 'Mechs and builds available of all weight classes. I was probably most adept with Heavies - Cataphracts, Stalkers especially. I have not dropped in years, though, so whether I can hold my own now, though, is anyone's guess.

I have a sizable growing family and my drop times are not likely to be that regular, but will be in the evenings UK/EU time some days during the week - and weekends.

Would there be any interest in teaching an older dog some new tricks with the IDI?

You are welcome, not sure if it was me, Nagdamnit or one of the other lads that was DC'ing but we do try to work with whoever we drop alongside. It's fun to work together, shoot together.......blow up together....... best not mention that last part eh?
