Offensively, can't say I'm in love with it, haven't really settled on a build though either. But it's definitely not an Insta Dog, or Champ. Once unlocked fully, with the right builds, at least some variants might be solid performers. I only have the basic pack, but I don't think any of them are terrible.

The ECM variant seems like the weakest, which is probably a good thing from a balance standpoint, though if PGI ever pulls the trigger on the infowar PTS changes for ECM (which I've been advocating for years now) then that might need to change.

Sacrifices need to be made, too: it's not fast even with a large engine (yes, it's an assault) but could get better as an elite. More armor means fewer weapons. You seem to really have to pick and choose your engagements.

I'm still mostly trying builds. Quad-UAC Sleipnir works as well as expected, but I feel like I'm wasting the opportunity to run something faster. SRM-based brawlers appear to be very potent, too. The only thing that doesn't really work for me are energy heavy builds, since the arm mounts are relatively low. The speed helps, but it still feels awkward.

So I'm still experimenting with builds but I did find pretty decent performance with
near max armour, STD360, 6xMPL, 2xSRM4 with 3 tons reloads. Splitting the MPL into 2 groups of 3 it ran surprisingly cool, easy to manage heat and still deal damage. Also allowed good corner peaks.
Overall, feels underwhelming for an assault's firepower, but at least I'm tanking lots of damage and sharing armour I suppose.

Played a couple games in the Z with a 350, LB-10X, 2 SRM 4's and 6 ML's and it was fun.
Tried the Q with LRM 5's just because I could and it was awful. Put SRM4's in instead. I prefer SRM's and AC's together. I'm better at mixed builds.
Hitboxes seemed okay. I was spreading damage alright. I think they need at least a 325 engine in for speed. But at full armor it feels underarmed.

Cp-q with 7 srm 6 and ml thrown in isn't bad either but this would probably be a bad idea when ED goes live
Sleipnir is the only one I play like my mauler with quad uac5 and the head ml is a nice bonus to zombie round in

7 ASRM4s. I prefer the ASRM4 over a plain SRM6 because it deals more damage to the places I want it to with the shorter cooldown and much tighter spread pattern. also if energy draw comes out it won't be super heavily effected anymore than the normal firing it in two groups.
Do the arms shield decently well?
