I don’t have a favorite module, but I can say that BWC teamwork enhances my ability to use modules effectively. I can specifically talk about two modules here.

First, the Advanced Zoom module. Without a team around me (when I’m in, say, a Shadowhawk with a Gauss Cannon), I would never be able to use this module effectively at all. A Sniper needs a spotter, a protector on the battlefield, or he’ll never be able to bring his weapon to bear, and have enough free time to use it knowing that his mates will keep OPFOR harassment off his back so he can lay fire on the enemy. I’ve played a few matches where we had a lance of three snipers and one protection ‘mech, that we were able to more than pull our weight in the game, that never would have been possible if it were just me alone in the drop. Much the same holds true as an LRM-boat ‘mech, but as a dedicated sniper, the team-necessary aspect is taken to an extreme.

Second, Air & Artillery Strikes: If there’s not a team around me, in communication about team goals and plans in-match, there just isn’t the same level of need to know how and where to drop a strike. I’m not just talking about causing max damage to the enemy here, but understanding the tactical applications of dropping strikes to further the team ability to actually win the match. Using these weapons effectively is as much about psychology as it is aim, and being part of a solid team makes that understanding far more effective.

I have only played MWO Since the 3rd of March 2014 (just a tad over a month. I haven't yet used modules and haven't seen the introduction of new features yet. What I have experienced is the huge difference it has made to be a member of Bravo Whiskey Charlie (Black Widow Company).

When I first started playing MWO I was doing very little damaged and got killed very quickly. I then decided to join the BWC and it turned out to be a great decision. With the help of BWC MWO Players my mech pilotin skills has improved greatly.

My aim has improved tenfold, my surviveability is up and I greatly enjoy our focused lance and 12 man drops where we have professional teamwork and communications going. The end results is that we win more drops then we loose which makes it more fun for everyone. Ok maybe not for the enemy...

Besides getting a lot of tips and feedback that improves my pilot skills, BWC has also been instrumental in helping me make the most of my C-Bills. They have given me great advice on what mechs to buy and what lodouts to use in order to get the best mech possible for my C-Bills.

This from both asking me question about playstyle as well as observing me on the battlefield.

What has been your favorite MWO game addition, such as a module or feature, and how has BWC enhanced it for you?

Arty strikes - love 'em, and when working in BWC, coordinating fire, maneuvering and dropping arty has been key. The BWC has been pivotal in making the game more fun to play through communications and our internal tournament and rewards structures. Being able to maneuver and attack as a group with good comms and focus fire, adjust to OPFOR tactics and share victory have all been enhancers to gameplay. All of these pieces keep me coming back and looking to play with the group.

The ability to attack and move as a group with focus fire on targets has been the most fun. Seeing how much damage 4 mechs really can do when they cover eachother and focus fires down enemies is just a total blast.

I would have to say the Seismic module changed the game significantly for me because it drastically reduced the instances in which I rounded a corner in my Spider only to come face to ankle with an Atlas....

As a Scout the ability to know something is around the corner without exposing myself is critical to success.
And with BWC when I pass along my Intel and finish my primary role of finding them, the real fun begins.

Once the Op lead lets me off my chain and I switch into Hunter mode from Sneaky Squirrel mode…someone’s gonna lose a Leg.
And 99% it’s not me! So to all those LRM boats hanging out at the trail end of your formations, be afraid be very afraid.

At first, BWC has enhanced my MWO experience in an absolut awesome way. If you are in BWC, your'll never drop alone.

According to a specific game addition, for me there are two specials. First the mechlab. I like tuning my mech very much. It is an awesome feature. Reading our threads about competitive builds, the different roles and their functions is always a good start for tuning my chassis.
The second one is using modules like Air strikes or Artis. I've never used them before I played with BWC. Now I try to use them in every drop.
BWC enhanced my play in different ways and communicating is a key factor.

This feature stands above all others.

First of all it was the customization options that came with the mechlab. It was awesome how you could tune up your mech and paint it as you like.

Then more of the super fast light mech were implemented in the game and I loved how they could get around the battlefield so fast and go behind enemy lines. There are so many good ways to turn the tide of battle in your favour with a light mech. I have seen this many times done by my fellow members. I am only dropping Assault lately but I will try other mech types too.

Looking forward to playing with all of you!

Hrm.,.. air strike or arty...not sure...

I never used these before I joined BWC. Then I discovered the fun these could be in the 12 man meta.
Look for a group of clumped up mechs and ruin their days. Watch them push into arty...

Or when they are hiding behind cover, drop an airstrike on the cover and watch the hurt go over the cover into them... sneaky :)

Especially usefull if hte mechs are already a bit hurt... drop arty and air and see the component destructions fly by :)

Before I joined BWC, I had just played solo for about 5 months. I found that PUG play meant you had to do certain things to survive, as there is very little communication and planning going on during a match. I tended to stay in long engagement mechs like the Jagermech. So I was loading out with AC 5's, AC 2's or PPC's for the most part and sniping from a distance. Its really hard to build a brawler mech when you can't trust the people on your left and right to make a push into the enemy. I don't know how many times it looked like most of the team was moving to close with the enemy, only to find that I was the only one who rounded the final corner and got chewed apart by the force on the other side. Too many other people were reticent to commit, especially if they starting taking any kind of fire the second they turned the corner. This meant I moved to stand-off tactics and heavy use of the Advanced Zoom module to try and pick people off at a distance. I'd hide behind my "Pug Shield" (rock) and hope no one rushed me.

Once I joined BWC it opened me up to the ability to adopt other play styles. Playing a brawler in a 4 man or 12 man is a viable option because I know that I'm going to have people commit to a push and not back off at the first sign of resistance. There have been several occasions where a BWC 4 man lance has just steamrolled over an unprepared opposing force that is srung out. I've had a lot of success running in three heavy brawlers with one D-DC to lead the charge and we have rolled down the conga line of the enemy mechs, smashing our way to victory. We actually did a training exercise this week for just moving in to contact and smashing anything in our way, which lead to great results.Posted Image

This has completely changed my play style, and now I am completely addicted to cool shots. Prior to joining BWC I had never bought a coolshot. Now I almost find it mandatory. I don't have the ability to duck back behind cover in the aggressive playstyle that I have become accustomed to and need to cool down and do it now! I am a complete coolshot addict, and have no inclination to attend any AA meetings for it in the near future.

I am most looking forward to private matches, which are not out yet. They will make possible extremely detailed and specialized training for me to improve my skills and address my weaknesses as a pilot, as well as fun and interesting lore-based operations. We'll be able to practice specific tactics such as jump sniping, or one that I'm trying to improve on, jump jetting behind a larger mech to score critical hits, and once skilled in those tactics, I look forward to joining my BWC brothers and sisters in destroying all opposition in public matches.

Another tricky one... its either the 12men drops (but that increased lag and reducded FPS pretty noticeable) or a mech. 12mens obviously get enhanced by a good team to play with and the company (we have units for various timezones in BWC) played some decent seasons in RHOD and MRBC which was a great challenge. Actualy without a dedicated team and the same guys every night you can not run a 12men atm, as you will not face another "casual" 12men.

For a mech that would be the quickdraw which is just one of the most borderline and fun mechs in the game. My favourite build is way to fast and hot to be safe, so having a lance of buddies around to watch your back is almost a must too!

Modules? Features?

Yes, please. Give me artillery. Give me airstrike. I want to see the smoke go up and a rain of clustered high explosive rounds come down. You think they are effective at pushing back clustered mechs, or damaging them in preparation for a push? You're right. And their even better when your team mates are dropping successive strikes against enemy forces.

Buy modules. Work together. Win matches. Have fun with BWC.

Apply now.

My favorite module is the Seismic Sensor. BWC has developed tactics around that one sensor and I consider it indispensable. I remember one game we were set up to receive the enemy and we deployed our sensored mechs near entrance points so we knew where they were coming from. They tried to pull a flank, but we saw it and adjusted accordingly. It turned out to be a heck of a fight with BWC victorious. The seismic sensors gave us the SA to adjust to battlefield changes.

Artillery strikes have been my favorite module and feature added to MWO. While we can all hope for non-mech units to make an apperance in MWO to enchace the feeling of total warfare, artillery and air strikes are as close as we can get right now. I like the artilery stikes because they can clear up a stubborn bunch of campers and add a lot of firepower to a little mech.

The Phoenix Pack amazingly enough was my favorite addition to the game since it contained two of my favorite mechs of all time in the Battlemaster and Shadowhawk. BWC helped out getting some builds on these classic mechs that I would not have thought myself.

Being able to use the in groups to full effectiveness is something I would not have been able to do without my BWC comrades.

So stop wondering and come give us a look. You will not regret it!

Still being new to MWO, I have not seen to many changes. I came in after the Phoenix package. But, I think the addition of Skirmish mode has made a great difference. There have been a few changes, like a few new mechs added, the achievements, and the turrets to name a few. They have added some good things to the game, but taken some away as well. I like the idea of the turrets, but when you get two teams that decide they would rather defend, it makes for a boring match. What also can be said, is what I am looking forward to. Clan pack not far off, Community Warfare sometime soon. Proud to be a part of BWC.

I've been dropping with a BWC 4-man group for the past couple of hours.

And we've won every single match. (except when we played against another BWC group).

Join BWC and learn how to fight effectively in MWO.

In a BWC 4-man group on Terra Therma just now. We were all that was left. 10 enemies were left. We came down out of the circle of death and destroyed them all. 11 kills were from BWC.
