But I got into Closed Bata of MWO right before Founders package was Closed that was suppost to be with Open Bata. Well No open bata and Well not to wine but Pay day is here and I cant get the Package. PLEASE CONSIDER reopening it till Open Bata.

Hate to say it OP... but totally agree with Wolfclaw...

Founders packs went on sale June 19th... supposed to have ended on August 7th... so myself and others jumped on that "once in a lifetime" offer... only to have that couple of week sale run for close to 2 1/2 months...

Plenty of time to have found the site and bought one... sorry you missed out, really am... then again, Open Beta isn't that far away (hopefully) once a few more bugs get ironed out by the Devs... so hang in there...

Stick

ps... you joined the site on 30 September 2012?? So, you had what?? 2 weeks to save up and get a pack??

I do agree that there was time and my luck is bad in that i never heard about MWO till just a wile ago than had to wait till payday. But my point is its a Closed Bata offer and O look we are still in Closed Bata. I do thank you all for your comments and hope you can at least see why im asking.

I'd have to agree... it was today I'd gotten ready to buy the founders pack, ($60), I bust open the wallet, pull out the credit card and get taken to in game currency... I don't suppose they'd make just 2 exceptions...

I just found out about MWO 2 days ago. I've played several MW / mech games over the years, including MPBT:Solaris on AOL. I agree that Founders should still be available til previously stated Open Beta, after that the should offer 2 tiers, then 1 tier. That will give them the most pre-launch cushion as well as those who could not just commit money they don't have. My computer is outdated by 8 years, and I am willing to cough up $120 for perks.

I appreciate those people who can support their faith/obsession with their wallets, but it all seems to come from a place of "I want perks that others can't have"

Too bad I was late too. Early on Monday tried to become a founder but it was already closed...

Same problem here, basically decided I was either going to spend $60 or nothing, but didn't want to plop down $60 without trying the game first. Got into the closed beta, but even though there are still ads for it everywhere - it's no longer available  Totally would buy it now if given the chance.

Well, Founders packs aside... use that $120 you're willing to cough up and purchase MC's... aside from the Founders Mechs (which I rarely run personally... for now at least) the MC's are what really gets you a boost... helpfull to get something besides a Trial Mech right away as well as using 'em to convert standard XP to GXP... as well as being used to activate Premium status on your account... again, XP/C-Bill boost while active... a very nice boost if you ask me...

And keep in mind they have stated that "future promotion" deals are coming... Founders is over, but again, they'll offer something new next time...

Its my favorite mech and now i cant get it upgraded without it.. Kinda makes me wanna stop playing ....

Well CoolBee... hang in there... the other "variants" for the Jenner hinge on the fact that the needed components (Ferro Fibrous Armor/DHS/etc) aren't in the game yet... all of those things are on their way...

Quote

New BattleTech Gameplay Features:
  • Endo Steel (October 23) - Updated
  • Double Heat Sinks (October 23) - Updated
  • Ferro-Fibrous Armor (October 23) - Updated

So... patience and you'll be able to get hose higher level skills eventually... :)

Why stop, there is obviously people who are willing to give them money. If they release some other package later well then it gives a chance for the compulsive buyers to rethink. I think I speak for more than just myself, I am willing to dish out $60 for a founders mech, but I wont do it for something I can just grind to. I just started found out about the game yesturday when two of my friends, who have the founders package, introduced it to me. After about 3 hours of playtime I'm like this game it great, it would be awesome if I could be on the same level as them though, so I go to buy the pack and it is disabled. While I will be able to grind to a decent mech, that is $60 dollars not in Paranha's pocket. Why not just make them avalible to everyone for purchase with MC points, without all the bonus's of the early buyer's founder package?

those who purchased the founders packages, whichever, are mostly die hard followers of the mech series. We wouldn't have spent so much for this game had we not trusted its legacy and franchise on top of Piranhas capability. Those were the early cues that this title is worth it. I played it wayyyyy waayyy back and i never thought this will resurrect. But, here it is and am sure glad it did.

Pay-to-win is a touchy proposition. I'm new to the game since open beta, and I must say, quite disappointed that the Pay-to-win foundation is laid so solidly, with obviously no way to remove it from the game.

50% lifetime bonus exp? The fact that it exists makes me much less excited about playing the game. Would I pay for it if I could? Possibly... would I pay for time-limited "premium membership"? Not ever.

I'm a "die-hard follower of the mechwarrior series". Have played all the games in the series including MWLL for quite a while.

I've been craving a mechwarrior game for a longggg time. I would gladly pay $60 for one. But it's questionable whether I'd play one balanced by dollars, even for free.

Not sure where you got "50% lifetime bonus exp" from... Can I get that as well??

Founders packs came with Premium Account time... time that will run out... anywhere from 1-3 months worth... Premium Account status gives the +50% XP/C-Bill bonus... then again, anyone can purchase Premium time...

And like them, when our Premium time runs out... we either pay to re-up like anyone else or do without...

As to the "pay to win foundation" bein laid?? Where's that at also??

I really wish the founders was still on sale myself. I could have purchased it previously but wanted to make sure the game was alright before I did. Now I would be willing to dish out some cash but founders deals are over and that sucks for me.

I wasn't fully aware of the bonuses and advantages of the founders pack since I wasn't familiar with the game. After playing a bit now these last few days I can really see how awesome it would have been for me to purchase any of those founders packages.

Well Masta... as I told another poster above... take the money you're willing to spend if you could get a Founders pack and purchase some MC's... get Premium time with it and for now... grab the Yen Lo Wan Centurion... +30% C-Bill boost (5% higher than our Founders Mechs)... basically "slightly" better c-Bill boost as well as Premium time just no "tag"... small price to pay for close to the same benefits... :D

The real thing I'm after is the permanent +25% buff to c-bill income. That is awesome. I really didn't notice that aspect of it before when I read through the founders package deals... or i just didn't understand enough about what the deal was talking about.

I may spend the cash on this game but not for premium time that will eventually run out. I may purchase a Hero Mech later but not the current one on sale. I'll continue to play game for free and wait to see what goodies are available down the road.

I call BS. People only regret it now because they fence sat too damn long. This game has been in 2 issues of pc gamer, not to mention other game forums. We are in open beta and its well beyond founding anything other than your own lack of action. Just buy the premium mechs if you want your bonus. Just like society now people need rules changed to suit them rather than deal with missing the boat and moving on. You snoozed and you lost, deal with it.
