I've designated it the Malavaran. 90% PVC piping, with some shelving used for desk surface. Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

Yes, 90% PVC piping, with 'furniture connectors': basically 3,4, and 5-way connectors in arrangements that don't make sense for liquid flow, but make much sense for building things. The 'desk' parts are prefab shelves from Home Depot.

Yeah... I had to give up real flying a few years ago due to school, then went a completely different direction with my life. Been working on this simulator ever since. Decided to celebrate the new job (and MWO !) by splurging on the HOTAS: Warthog. So far I'm pretty impressed with it. I plan on it lasting me a good long while, so I consider it something of an investment.

PC's nothing too fancy:
AMD Phenom IIx4 965, 3.4 GHz
2x nVidia GeForce GTX 460, 1GB VRAM (Configured for SLI)
4GB DDR3 1600

Monitors: 3x Hannspree 19", forget the actual model number, had them for a while

Flight Controls:
Thrustmaster HOTAS: Warthog, and Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals, soon upgrading those.

I also use a Logitech G13 for FPSs, and a logitech G35 for speakers/mic.

Thanks ! I inherited those some time ago, they've become useful for storage and (very recently) as a footstool to get in and out of the seat with.

It's actually an improvement over it's predecessor, it only takes up a 4'x4' block in a room. The old one was 6'x6'

Also bachelor-times are good times !

All you need is 4'x4', maybe a bit extra on one side to get in and out of the thing. Think of it as an exercise machine that makes you fatter!

Overall, pretty nice, and I'm slightly jelly. You ARE missing an official cupholder though. Never trust a drink sitting open on the surface like that.

The bedroom beyond kinda kills the buz though. Be pretty sweet if you could enclose the setup somehow, so you'd really feel like you're in a cockpit.

Looking good! I've gotta build my desk out, but with travel 5 days a week for the next 5-6 months might have to wait =/
