when you buy it you noticed that your weight decreed. FF armor only give you a lighter armor and not a better armor so when you have the upgrade and just add armor to your mech you always add FF armor to your mech and not the standard armor.

i dont see my weight go down.
when i select the individual body parts and use the up and down arrow to remove and add armor, only the normal armor moves. my count for FF armor remains at 323, in inventory i think...
it's weird.

You get the same total amount of armor that your mech can handle. It is the same as normal armor. Ferro allows you to have the same amount of armor for less weight. In other words, you get more points per ton of armor when using Ferro, but your maximum armor stays the same. This gives you half a ton or more in weight savings (up to 2+ tons for 100 tonners with max armor) that you can use for other things.

Always get Endo Steel before Ferro armor. Endo saves more weight than Ferro and the repair costs do not increase as much.

It equips automatically when you upgrade. No extra buttons needed.

Last night i bought a new mech and it used the FF aromor, and now i am able to add and remote the FF aromor.

what is Qty when you buy it, mine was at 147. Until i bought the new mech.

>.< Ignore the FF and Std armor buttons on the right side, when your mech stats on the left say you got FF armor you had FF on your entire mech. The upgrade automatically change your std armor into FF. You will notice that you must pay a lot more when you get armor damage. Also Endo Steel is the first thing you should do to save weight because 5% always save more weight than 12% from your armor

Quantity is how much armor you have in your storage. It only has a financial effect - for repairs the system will use armor in your inventory prior to buying new armor, so your R&R bills are lower than normal until you use up all the armor (of appropriate type) that you currently have.

Just a question on armor, why if the FF armor is applied does it say no in the lower panel, although everything else there says OK?
