

Armor Equipped Issue

I went to the upgrade tab, bought for 450K ferro armor but i cant figure how to equip it.
In the loadout tab i select it, its green but no apply or equip button. Cant seem to drag either...\\
pls help

when i select the individual body parts and use the up and down arrow to remove and add armor, only the normal armor moves. my count for FF armor remains at 323, in inventory i think...
it's weird.

You get the same total amount of armor that your mech can handle. It is the same as normal armor. Ferro allows you to have the same amount of armor for less weight. In other words, you get more points per ton of armor when using Ferro, but your maximum armor stays the same. This gives you half a ton or more in weight savings (up to 2+ tons for 100 tonners with max armor) that you can use for other things.
Always get Endo Steel before Ferro armor. Endo saves more weight than Ferro and the repair costs do not increase as much.

Quantity is how much armor you have in your storage. It only has a financial effect - for repairs the system will use armor in your inventory prior to buying new armor, so your R&R bills are lower than normal until you use up all the armor (of appropriate type) that you currently have.
