I saw this thread:

http://mwomercs.com/...os-demographic/

...and thought a poll would be fun. Results are non-scientific, of course.

Sorry, I probably should have put in something negative about DHS to fit with the forum theme...

Put in some options about TT as well, might be interesting to see how many of us graybeards are here for the TT connection more than the MW connection ;)

Good suggestion, added. Unfortunately I can't put in another question so the format is a bit awkward...

Or we can assume that those of us who were playing TT back in the 80s were beside ourselves with glee every time they came out with a new computer game and played them all.

Both Crecent Hawk games, Mechassault, Mechcommander, Mechwarrior, MegaMek... yeah, quite a few.

Bummer. I can't vote for 4+ Mech vid games AND for tabletop. Oh well, voted the vid games as that seemed more applicable.

I picked TT even though I played several Video games. But 25 years of TT do Count for more in my universe.

Edited the tabletop option...I was inferring that tabletop players mostly likely had played more than 4 Mechwarrior games, but clarified a bit ;)

I have only played Battletech and none of the previous Mechwarrior games, so I selected your first option, but would rather have an option for battletech only, but otherwise interesting poll.

I never got a chance to play TT. . I had a ton of the old lead/pewter mechs, and the tech specs starting @ 3029, but never had anyone to play with.

I remember fondly the original mechwarrior, where you stood @ max range and just legged everything to win. . those boxy blue polygons. . .and then the online version of that via GEnie. . [LOL, GEnie. . my word, has the internet come THAT far?] I also fondly remember Crescent Hawk's inception. All the mechwarrior games, minus the fail console renditions. . . i still have the Mwo mercs discs in my booklet.

And I suddenly realize I have kids older than I was when started playing these games. I feel old, now I'm depressed. . .

. . . Get off my lawn ;)

Geeze, you guys sure are sticklers for absolute accuracy in this poll....edited once again, now with options to express precisely how many games you have played along with whether or not you have played tabletop.
