Is Artemis Worth It?

At the moment I run a catapult A-1 with:
2X LRM 15
2X LRM 5
2X SRM 6
Do you think it's worth it to accept less number of missles (ex. 2X LRM 10 and 2X SRM 6, or something similar) to carry artemis?
TL;DR Does artemis justify the weight increase and costs of use?

How? Other than price and weight/tonnage per launcher, that isn't true as far as I know.
Of course, I'm going to say NO for a different reason. The rearming bills are insane. 2x base LRM cost...

Turn off auto-rearm. compensate with more ammo. Artemis ammo cost penalty negated~

My own personal opinion is based on ammo consumption. If you typically run with low ammo / maximum launchers, and use skill, patience, and/or TAG/NARC/scouts to make your volleys count, then Artemis can help that playstyle. If you love inexaustable carpet bombing and carry tons of ammo, than going without artemis is probably best.
For a mixed ranged build like yours, I would hesitantly say yes, Artemis would help, as it provides an increase and ammo effeciency worth it's weight simply because of multiple ammo types. Really though, opinions differ so much presently that it really is something you need to bite the bullet and cost and test for yourself.

I have one, its 1 slot, 3 tons. You have to put it in your head. Then, when you are in combat, click the MAP button. Now, in the upper left is a button you can click called "Take command" You now get a new color to your text in chat, and can set way points.

Well after running both extensively, I see no difference other than the cost.

It was never "uber". The problem was the when it came out they modified arc for the LRM. Also they introduced DHS 2.0 engine (even it should be 1.4). Both leads to LRM totally OP. I rund LRM boat without artemis at this time.
Artemis itself didn't and still doesn't help much.

Do you really think a (atm not functional) command console is needed to take command....?
This game needs a tutorial and a in game description of items asap...

Thank you for proving that you not only have no clue what youre talking about, but that your mech is wasting 3 tons and putting your team at a competitive disadvantage. Anyone can do that without a command module.

It didnt seem to do anything at all for the 6x SRM6 CPLT-A1. I'm not motivated enough to spend 2m CBs to take it off and put it back on my 2x LRM15 CPLT-C1.

how do you want us to answer this for you? I never played with you and in such...well...it comes down to:
1) you play lonewolf in PUG's? Then no...keep away of artemis, it wont make the difference.
2.) you play with friends on Headset and one in your team is a scout? Then YES, you want Artemis and you will want to listen to your scouts target designations.
(and yes...its about the contrary of how it should be...its how I notice it to work).
PS: be ready for the laughs after game, LRM damage is not shown in the endlist...so yes...your damage score will show quiet disapointing.

a)Beyond 650m (Artemis range)
b)Outside of your line of sight (Artemis improved homing and grouping requirement).
c)Target will be already painted with TAG (TAG+Artemis effects doesn't really stack)
So, all in all, it's extra weight and cost for nothing.
If you are solo pugging, than... maybe yes, depending on your playstyle. Remember, to make it work you will need to fire at a target that is within 650m and in your line of sight. Rearm and installation costs are something to consider (or use the free ammo bug/exploit).
