Game crashed after qutting a match after having been killed

client crashed on third game just after loading into forest.

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1

confirming.
game crashed on first and i think fourth or fifth match so far, i can only imagine how often it will happen in the next 2 weeks.. don't think i will play much when i always have to pay and pay and pay for repairs and don't get nothing for it.

Since the last patch the game crashes for no apparent reason.

I start a game, log in, choose a 'Mech, the map is displayed,
I see a black screen and the game returns to the desktop.
This is me now happened 7 of 10 rounds.
A PC restart did not help.

same here. before that patch never a CTD, now 3 in 1 hour....WTF????

Had a CTD in my 2x Cataphract. Killed two enemies, was shooting up a third when he died and my game closed. I think he was a Catapult, but I don't know what he was packing. I was using streaks, mls, and a gauss.

Happening here as well. Saved up money and was really looking forward to a new Phract, and now can't play at all. Exceedingly maddening.

I'm having the same issue. I also did a pc restart (window 7, 64 bit).

At slightly different times though. It will go to desktop after logging in, selecting mech, or just after selecting ready.

I presume this is a different problem from the disconnects, once you enter a game (hopefully that gets fixed too).

I have similar experiences. The game creates a crash dump file under USER folder in the MWO folder. Zip it up and send to support with DxDiag info and description of the CTD. Done so and devs get them for analyzing.

Had CTD on some match start. Never had CTD before today.

Replied to this. Send the crash dump files to support. They are in the game folder under USER. Zip up, attach dxdiag and description. After sent just delete old one and send the new one if getting a crash, rinse & repeat.

Another voice in the chorus of people whos game now crashes to desktop post-patch.

This has happened a number of times as I'm entering a match. I choose my mech and it gives me the loading page of whatever map I'm playing then the screen goes black and suddenly I'm at my desktop.

I've been able to play 3 matches out of the 6 I've tried. At least it brings me back to the desktop instead of the BSOD I was experiencing before, where I had to manually crash the client from the Task Manager...

Getting CTDs during gameplay; couple so far in 2 hrs of play. last one was right when I did an alphastrike

Played my first 2 games post patch fine, but then had the same crash as reported here.
With Opera Browser open: Game crash 4 times in a row.
With Opera Browser closed: 7 game no crash streak.

Is a browser open when you crash?

I have been playing all week for extended periods of time and I once in a while get a memory leak and need to reboot the game, however, after the patch 9/10 times I am crashing to desktop before the game loads to the cockpit.

I rebooted my computer and it worked for one match, now it is crashing to desktop again.

I don't know what I should do considering it worked once, so would reinstallation really help?

Win 7 pro 64bit
Intel Core2 Quadcore cpu @ 2.66ghz
4 GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 690

Has just happened to me twice now in about 8 games, once when I was the last mech up against a hunchback with only a small laser on his head. Very lame.

Mine does not happen mid-game at this point, only after the maploading screen but before cockpit.

I had it happen 3 times in a row. It has to do with compressed textures that are "dangerous". Always starts with the skybox for Forest Colony (which loads in Forest Colony Snow and River City both, as well as others, perhaps.)

I was able to drop on all 3 maps earlier, after the patch, so I assume my game files have somehow corrupted out since then.

I don't feel like trying a clean install just yet, until we see if there's a work-around or hotfix someone comes up with.
