How about with orchestral metal? :)

Or at least epic prog metal, like Cloudkicker:

Well... when it comes to in gae music I think it should be a little but slower... more stompy. :) Not blastbeats all over the place. :D

To me Brixx blastbeats and full on shred ala Jeff Loomis are the way forward, don't want something slow and simple, i always play listening to my music of choice.

I was not referring to your personal choice of music. :) When I listen to music I like blastbeats aswell... just look at what I posted one page before. :D I was referring to in game music. :D

Yeah i understand you were referring to ingame music, and i was saying basically if i had it my way i'd have blastbeats and shredding lol.
But i also understand that my choice of music would be intolerable to some, so i'm thinking it would be nice to be able to add your own playlists to be played ingame.

Sabaton is awesome.

Sorry, I caught a glimpse of that and had to say something.

My playlist of MechMetal would probably consist of In Flames and DevilDriver and everything in between.

I listen to stuff all across the board, but Bolt Thrower is beyond doubt my favorite band.

Bolt Thrower works really well for battletech, but then again so does vader and arch enemy to name a few.

I'm a massive metal fan. Heavy, Industrial, Nu and pretty much any other type that makes me wanna headbang.

Static-X Have to be by favourate band. Try playing this song when piloting a light mech at 139kph while taking on assult mechs with nothing more than an assult laser. Brilliant.

Somehow all of my fellow students at the Theological Department listen to Sabaton? :) Did I miss something? Why is Sabaton so attractive towards students of catholic religion? :D

Only thing I kind of like better than charging in with some heavy metal in the background (or the mechwarrior2 soundtrack hehe) is having some of the legendary sounding Two Steps From Hell music. That stuff kicks ***!

Yes and no. Both Vader and Arch Enemy are missing the war-themed lyrics of Bolt Thrower. On the other hand...Bolt Thrower dedicated it whole album to Warhammer 40k and for whatever reasons BT and WH40k players can't stand each other.

I love Sabaton been to both the US tours. First one in Houston second one is San Francisco. I hate having to fly to see the bands I like. Guess I'll be a Davion banging my head to this.

My preferences tend to go more towards the likes of:
In Extremo, Korpiklaani, Versailles (kudos if you already know that band).

You mean the band that is known in the states as Versailles Phiharmonic Quintet? :)

I admit to loving heavy metal.. but I do not like a lot of the nu metal bands that are here in the states.. Kamelot, Iced Earth, Trivium, Symphony X are awesome bands. Still love the old school stuff, Priest, Maiden and Scorpions and a lot of the European power metal bands, Sonata Artica, Hammerfall, Blind Guardian and the visual kei bands in Japan.

musically probably yes they would work but the vocals are horrendous by whatsherface for arch enemy. I will take Doro Pesch from Warlock than her any day. But then again I just like the bands that have actual singers and not cookie monster impersonators!

Dunno, my CDs (Noble, Lyrical Sympahy and Jubilee) all lable them as "Versailles".

Reminds me, I forgot about Metalycalypse//Dethklok.

I'd list Kalafina, but I don't think its metal.
I'd also list TerraFolk, but that's a folk band.
Even if this suggests otherwise:

I play both. Can't say I hate myself.

Indeed, I know several people who play both.

Headbanger to the extreme right here!

Got raised on Metallica and Judas Priest, but my favorites right now are Dimmu Borgir and Rammstein.

I also am a huge fan of an obscure but GREAT American Black Metal band called Nightbringer.

Anyways a few others would be Carnifex, Immortal, Behemoth, Amon Amarth, Gorgoroth... the list goes on.

Good to know that I am not the only rammstein fan on this forum
