All Map Collision / Stuck / Fall Through World / Shoot through Object related posts will be merged into this thread for simplified reference and overview.

Please attempt to respond to the following questions in your responses:
  • The map affected.
  • The grid tile affected.
  • The coordinates affected.
  • The Mech or weapon used to achieve the collision issue.

While playing on caustic in my Cataphract i noticed that my mech won't step over any pipes, even ones that are barely sticking out of the ground.

Some mechs seem to have this issue because their leg animation doesnt raise them up very high. Awesome also has some of those issues.

Only solution is to go around and know the map and your mech.

I started on the side with the radio tower and the waterfront, went towards the waterfall that is just to the right of the culvert. was trying to jump up to a ledge to snipe form when I missed the landing and slid down the wall, I beleive I got my legs stuck under the terrain, but my body was on the wall, I could torso twist, and fire, but my speedo never sped and my JJ never refueled. I forgot about hte f9 coordinates until after I had died.

the location was just to the right of the waterfall.

River City Map. Sorry dont know the Grid or coordinate. Building has a bunch of statues in a circle in front of it. One of them got stuck in the crotch-ular area of my Hunchback. Could only torso twist. Didn't end well.

Caustic. Jumped up on the connecting girders between the storage tanks in the refinery spawn point in a Catapult. Got stuck, couldn't move and JJ wouldn't regenerate. Ended up glued there for the whole match until I was put out of my misery. :P

I don't have coords, but in the river city map, just to the left of the spawn point for the lower city team. There are a stack of shipping containers next to a warehouse, if a mech climbs ontop of them, and then tries to walk onto the roof of the warehouse, it will become stuck between the two objects, and behave as if it is falling. Suspended in the air, unable to move from that position for the rest of the match.

Frozen City, C4, used a squat building near jenner highway to LRM from. When I landed on one of the edges via jump jetting to the top my mech got stuck. Was stuck there the rest of the match, couldn't move, jump jets wouldn't refill, etc.
The big building close to mid-tunnel in D4 (same map) also gets me stuck from time to time.

Also random roof tops on the city map get my stuck.

Basically, be careful with roofs.

The fact you can walk through trees is the one thing that puts me off about MWO.

River City, D6. Jenner F, used jump jets to assault the base from the riverside. Landed on the railings half way up the radar dish, and became stuck. Couldn't turn, walk, or jump out. (Got annihilated by LRMs shortly thereafter...)

I was playing on the city map in an Atlas and fell off the bridge that goes from one of the bases to upper city. I fell on something and then couldn't go anywhere. Acceleration bar all blue-- no yellow. Completely totally stuck. Not sure I can replicate the issue but it was extremely frustrating. I thought I'd see if anyone else had the issue on the map or it was just a fluke.

Yesterday I stucked in textures on this map and even fell in underworld after the death :P

There used to be a sticky with a link to the support. Can't find it now. So I post it here.

I jumped down the wall and got stuck in the map. Rocked back and forth. Coordinates:
2155-58/1280-88/10-20

After moving around I got glued-stuck on coordinates 2154,7/1277,7/21,4.
After I was killed I fell into nothingness.

Not sure if related: My atlas RS was walking on the surface of the water on river city. I started at the south point, headed up the river, found that I was a lot higher than I should be when at the bridge - shooting my arm laser would hit the bridge, and I couldn't walk under it since the head of my atlas was over the top of the bridge. Walked out/off the water to the right of the bridge, then back in, was then around the height I expected, walked under the bridge.

Artillery hit on leg units on the Caraphat and light units are no longer registering as direct hits. This is likely related to a collision detection check as it is still calculating damage properly to leg components. Quick testing was conducted with AC20 and UAC5 / AC5 vs. jenner and hunchback hit models at 100, 300 and 600 meters from target. at 300 to 600 meters we had about 20% 'misses' or variance in damage done when tested yesterday.

Will begin gathering exact xyz coordinates, a few glaring map holes off the top of my head

- Winter Forest:
1. Far left hill along the west of the map; snow ridges enable players to climb and wall run along the side of the map box
2. Mound infront of the sub-terrain cave can be scaled, enabling players to run onto the top of the ridge that covers this cave and alongside the top of the rock gate on the other side of the cave entrance (G-7 line ??); players can evade weapon lock by sitting ontop of this rock gate
3. Far North East of the map, a set of submerged shipping containers; walking a mech smaller than a Centurion can sit inside the boxes evading weapon fire, however will become stuck upon exit.
4. Boxes mid map, and near south cave exit; atlas and awesome will become stuck in the boxes, repeated movement into the boxes will glitch the mechs into them, preventing exit

River City:
1. Condo's near the ramp going to the dropship cap. All mechs will be able to walk along the edge of the boardwalk, but will become stuck should they pivot while walking this band inbetween the buildings.

I'm not sure where this would really fit but this seems the closest; the scenery and rock's have too bit of hit boxes or whatever is used for hit detection/collision. When I'm taking cover and popping out to shoot lasers, sometimes the laser is about a few meters away from the rocks but they're still being stopped despite being visually away from the scenery. This happens on maps with rocky scenery or hills.

Simple/stupid visual of this problem below:
