Never liked the AC10. LBX is ComponentDestroyedFest2k14 for me. Also the LBX sound is so much better. AC10 sound makes me feel like I'm hitting a hollow bucket with a stick.

I actually like using LB-10X at the extreme range. If I can't get close enough then at least I can ping their armor for a few points of damage. Plus its got to be rather disconcerting to see twenty impacts (I'm running dual lbx) on and around their mech.

I like using the LB because it has pretty much 0 heat, and a nice spread. Also it has 1 less ton/slot than the AC. This means that at closer range where lasers or ACs can cause heat issues with constant fire, I can always rely on the LB to be able to do some damage.

I like a Summoner with the stranded PPC and LB x10 for close range and for medium-long range, I don't know why I would run a AC/10 cuss it is redundant with the PPC

I choose the LB-10X because

- faster projectile speed
- smaller
- lighter
- cooler
- the spread is negligible at short range

The AC/10 is only better if you can manage to hit things with it at 450+ meters. Which is exceedingly difficult.

I use LB10X on a couple of short-range builds, the others use AC10.

I still really, really, really want an LB-10/X that can fire both standard & cluster ammo types...and on IS mechs, not this whole stupid idea that only Clan mechs could do it. Use the standard/slugs to punch holes in armour at the early/mid game, and then switch to cluster once structure has been exposed. That's the primary benefit of the LB-10/X.

Two totally different weapons. Love them both.

LB - Up close and personal, snap-shots for medium range
AC - Better delivery at range, great for aimed shots

I use both equally

AC/10 works great with PPCs and ER PPCs.

I prefer the pinpoint damage of the ac 10. I like to put it all of the damage where I want it as opposed to spreading it out over several components. If the LB10x is ever able to fire solid shot ammo then I may reconsider...

Ever since I put an LBX on my Jager A I haven't gone back. It's great for ensuring assists at long range and general long range harassing/suppression- most people will duck and cover from an LBX at 900m, even though you're not really hurting them. I use it to follow up an SRM24 at close range, because nobody expects it after 4 volleys of SRMs. :D

Also:

-Tends to make foes back down more at range. Seeing all those pellets flying at you is scary i guess.
-LBX sounds 100000x cooler than any other autocannon out there.

On smaller, brawly maps, triple LBX Ilya is where it's at. It really shines on Mining Collective. 3 LBX, 2 ML

add a level 5 cooldown module (and elite perks on whichever chassis) and the AC/10 becomes beastly... factor in the fact that some chassis will have boosts specifically for this weapon, and ooooo

I m looking at votes and cant belive.
Maybe I am doin something wrong when my AC 10 gets me more kills over my LBX10 but I do admit that LBX10 is kinda more fun.

Loling at duckin out at 900m from LBX,few weeks ago I was shooting at dire with 2 LPL at 600m he freaked out so hard that he was unable to get back to cover so my teammates lurmed him to death he didnt even once shooted back and he was 100% when I started to scrach him.
But rly I cannot trust U that U are more effective with LBX over AC10 I just cant I was tryin hard LBX10 but AC10 is so much superior specialy since there is only 1 ton of diference if it would be 2-3 tons I could consider it.
