Including all bonuses and eveything, what is the fastest mech, and what does it go at this speed?

Jenners go 149.3 KPH with max engine and speed tweak, every other fast Mech (Commando, Raven-3L, Cicada) goes 1-4 KPH slower.

Depends on the firepower/speed tradeoff.

I'd say the Catapault can hold best ratio of DPS/speed. My Cat runs at 79kph, the old one ran at 84.4kph with tweaks but doing 550+ average damage per match.

If it is just speed alone, the Jenner in the above post would be the fastest.

It's sad that people think that Jenners go the fastest. Especially when people think that commandos go slower.

For reference use this

Commando base speed: 139.3
Jenner base speed: 138.9

For people who say that speed twink makes you go faster, it does. By 10%. I guess here is the thing that people don't realize, that it also works for the commando. 10% of 139.3 is higer than 10% of 138.9, so the commando will go that much faster than the Jenner.

At this time, there is not a huge difference between the COM and Jenner.

I would Suggest the Jenner due to the increased Firepower and Armor and Jumpjet ability. COMs may be faster, but not enough to make up for their weak armor and lack of hardpoints.

This site says the Commando has a 210 engine max, capping its tweaked speed at 146.3kph, a whole 3kph less than a Jenner.

Also, whilst the speed tweak efficiency claims to give 10% it seems to only give 7.5. A Jenner should be going somewhere in the region of 152.

Commandos have more missile hard points, and more crit slots to put them in(and can place them in their arms).

speed = engine rating / weight

So a commando will have the max potential speed with an xl 300 engine

When they release the flea which is I believe 5 tons lighter then the commando it will become the max potential speed mech with an xl 300

That site is wrong.
Max engine's a 215.

No... you can't fit the XL300 in the Commando. You won't be able to put it in the Flea either, I'm pretty sure.

Soooooo what's going to happen when the Fire Moth goes 162KpK with bursts up to 216 KpH using M.A.S.C.! Then adds speed tweak? :)

Remember the current global speed cap of 140kph (150 w/ speed tweak) is due to higher speeds breaking the netcode (more than is already the case). Once the netcode is fixed to allow higher speeds, then the cap will be 1.4x (I think) base speed for light mechs.

[edit]Which after looking at sarna means that Commandos have a max engine size of 210, yet I seem to recall putting 215s into one after the engine limitations were added, strange.

Before the speed cap and engine restrictions a commando could go 200 k/h, hence the old trollmando!

I think the fastest mech in canon is a Ji-Had era Locust, which we'll never see, at over 300KPH with MASC.

SSRM Cats don't count in damagediscussions. Their damage is automatic, so why count it?

People start emulating betty (ie b****ing) about how the Flasher is imune, etc.

The biggest engine you can squeeze into a mech! :) (at the expense of everything else of course... weapons, armor...)

You are indeed correct. Don't know why this myth that the Jenner is faster persists when it's so easily verifiable that the Commando is the fastest.

Actually, you likely haven't worked on a Commando lately.

Max engine available is 210 (1.4*150), despite everything of old saying it should be a 215.

Same goes for Raven 3L, capped at 295 (1.4*210=294)

They dropped Lights from 1.6 to 1.4
