This is the message i emailed to support, but I want this to be public facing as well. I am growing increasingly disgusted as to the direction this game is taking in both terms of development as well as the lack of response to disgusting gameplay behavior (including suicides, team killing, team damage, and spam-chat).

This game has reached the level where I am experiencing more frustration and less enjoyment during each gameplay session. This isn't what I signed up and paid $220 for.

I was team damaged and killed by a group of players in a SINGLE match that may or may not have been "working together" to grief.

[REDACTED CONTENT]

I am absolutely disgusted by this 100%.

==========

Hi support,

I was teamkilled by the following players recently in a single match:

[REDACTED CONTENT]

I find the current state of the game to be absolutely DEPLORABLE with regards to poor behavior and the inability for PAYING customers to do anything about it. If this continues I will strongly consider demanding a refund for the $220 i have spent on this game as it now brings me frustration and grief versus enjoyment. I am saddened as to the current direction the game is taking with what looks to be a strong focus on revenue generating features instead of gameplay-improvement and social enhancements.

it's only funny when real money isn't involved. if they want to make a f2p game, they need to moderate [REDACTED CONTENT] and protect their paying customers who are paying the bills. this isn't a charity, it's a business, cater to your paying customers, [REDACTED CONTENT].

You almost make it sound like PGI is responsible for how you spend your money. And I hate to break it to you, but even though the founders program was a sort of investment incentive, your not a ballz share holder. Furthermore recalling specific responses from PGI, this process of game development is slower then many expect, even for PGI.

Really though, I know how you feel man. I'm probably a hypocrite for saying this but: try to put things into perspective, it helps.

I bought my founders' package because I believe in what the game can be ... not what it appears to be right now.

To the OP: take a break. Hopefully you haven't started your founder's time clock. If you have, maybe you can request to have it paused for a few months while they work out things like match making.

If it's [REDACTED CONTENT] doing the teamkilling, that's pretty messed up. Everyone's going to crack sooner or later and let off some steam, but if they're playing under their official handles, they need to be professional AT ALL TIMES lest they let a relatively minor public relations bungle ruin their reputation. At the very least they should be using a separate account to do that kind of stuff.

If it's afew impersonators, then, well, you'll just have to deal with it... :) Griefers aren't going anywhere unfortunately. *high five* for reporting them though.

i'm not a shareholder and i never claimed to be, but i am a paying customer who has spent a substantial amount of money with this "game". And as a paying customer, I had a disgusting experience playing their game recently and most significantly today. TK'd by what appeared to be one of PGI staff and abused by rampant griefing. If you went to a restaurant and spent $220 on a meal, and then another patron slapped you and spit in your food, and then what appeared to be the manager came over and stabbed you with a kitchen knife. how would you feel? that's my customer experience right now.

lmao...

People get so pissed off over nothing.

You got teamkilled, get over it. It happens. Hell I got pissed at a teamkiller once... 30 seconds later i forgot about it.

It's just a game, and a beta game open to the public. They are dealing with tking and working out the issues, sorry if its not at the instantaneous speed that you require.

Your well beyond the refund cut off from what I've read so you are probably just going to have to suck it up and take the loss if your leaving. Otherwise just take a break and let them sort through some stuff for a while, programming and moderating for a game this size isn't an overnight business.

You need to pay more attention to the notes and stickies. I believe the cut off date for refunds was back in October, and had been announced and posted far in advance. If something has a "30 day return" policy, and you come back wanting to return it 90 days later, that is a you problem.

Basically, too late. Sucks about the TK (welcome to the pathetic sad life of online games. I have seen it happen on all of them, and had to fend off team killers myself (fortunately so far all of the ones on here have been solo and stupid, and ended up getting themselves dead instead).

-yawn- First time in game with friendly fire turned on? The frequency with which intentional team kills happens is very small.

i spent an additional $100 on their black friday sale. i know the "cutoff" for refunds that have been stated before (but are conspicuously absent from their "refunds" KB page) and etc. regardless i can still file chargebacks within the appropriate time period through my credit card company for legitimate cause (in this case dissatisfaction with the product).

i haven't done any of that yet, i am making a statement and a point. If i'm at the point where i'm seriously considering all methods for recovering the $$$ i've spent on this product, the customer service side of their business should take note.

Overall, the customer service side of MWO has been poorly executed. I am in the business of enterprise customer support, i know what is and isn't standard. MWO's level of service isn't standard, it's currently far below.

See their own "Support" page that claims to have information on refunds.. with no information posted.

http://mwomercs.com/...ort/kb/category

And again, as far as their claim of "this is a beta".

they can call it a beta all they want. people playing and spending MC today are spending REAL MONEY on this game and PGI wants it that way. What if your car dealer charged you $50 for a test drive of an un-released pre-production car? Would you still call it a test drive?

hey, i welcome you to continue to have that attitude when it happens to you and someone posing as "Paul Inouye" TK's you. He literally had Paul's full name as his handle. Either MWO hasn't thought far enough ahead to prevent people from impersonating staff or their own staff are TKing people. Draw what you will from it.

it's not just the teamkill or the friendly fire, it's the combination of poor customer service, a complete lack of anti-griefing/abuse mechanics and tools, and a very obvious focus on revenue generating features over gameplay or social enhancements that have me upset about the current state of MWO. they even prioritized putting in the premium time countdown button over fixing matchmaking or putting in an in-game report button or mechanic for dealing with suicide players / teamkillers

Did you really prefer the real money camouflage feature over anything else on the list of "things to do"? do you REALLY?

[REDACTED]
oh look ... I typed [REDACTED] name and then again I didn't, because I used a small L instead if a big i to write the name. The same could be done with [REDACTED]'s name.

This is a free to play game. Creating such an account take seconds. As long as there is no way to link such accounts to their original owner, they will probably even go unharmed after those fake accounts have been banned. This will always happen in such a gaming environment. Believe it or not: It is not aimed at harming the players. That's just a side effect. It is aimed at harming the company hosting and creating the game. You just reacted, like the trolls want you to react, Noodlesoup.

There's something out there that let's you change and or hide your name. I encounter it this morning when reporting a player to link to his account since he has IiiIIiI after his name and it could be i's or L's. Turns out the name he's using isn't the name of a registered account. No such user exists.

We also had these guys on our team very early this morning (02:00 GMT+1).
All of them in trail Awsomes. The first that tried to kill one of my teammates got his cockpit ripped appart :) .
The other three (in our case they were four) then killed or badly damaged the rest of us. After they were done they killed themselves by overheating on purpose.

We took some screenshots and told support@mwomercs.com about it.
I believe (or at least I hope) those were not the real persons.
