Okay, so having just witnessed the single worst Atlas build I've ever come across in my time with MWO, I was curious if someone can top it.
Any tales about horribly inefficient or downright awful mechs?

This isn't a name and shame, so no name dropping.

As for the build I witnessed. Atlas, I forgot the model.. Armament? 2xLRM 20's with Artemis.. and AC20. That's it.. Don't know about the ammo, as the guy had already lost all of it by the time I died.

My reaction to it, when I saw it in game?

I have seen the same build. I don't know if you and I have seen the same guy or if somebody is going around telling people this is a good idea but Yea. My friend in a 4g hunchback killed him solo laughing the whole time.

I seen a hunchback with one LRM20 and no other weapons. I was laughing so much it was hard to target him.

I've also encountered a Wang with 2 flamers and 2 machine guns. Might be the same guy. I almost felt guilty dispatching him. A Raven with a lone small laser would be more effective.

i ran around with my founders hunchback with 2 small lasers and standard engine. Could not find an effective build with the limited hardpoints and at 250 plus ms, shooting anything but a gauss is difficult. Had more than a few folk pissed off at me as i suicided on the opposing team with no repairs.

6x Flamer Jenner was honestly the most useless one I've seen. 4 MG Cicada's nearly as bad, but at least the energy slot's usually used for something that hits fairly hard, but I've seen people running smalls in it with their MGs, or leaving it empty.

I fought a hunchback with machine guns in the shoulder ballistic slots. Only machine guns.

To be fair, it did look kinda cool seeing machine gun fire coming out of that huge cannon.
