For example this one: http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Merkava

I would find it interresting, but on a very very low priority.

In time, I also would like some kind of DOTA or PvE mode.

I miss a "Yes, but only if..." option.

Because I'd like to see vehicles ingame, but only if matchsize goes up, maps get (much) bigger and matchmaking isn't simply weight-based.

In the future, yes. Pugs in the tanks in such, Premades in the Mechs. Mechwarriors are the elite of the elite after all.

Guys if you didn't notice the troll face and go straight into the pug vs premade argument then I'm sorry I have bad news.

I voted No, but that doesn't mean I don't want them at all, just not without any conditions. I'd like to see them as part of destructible terrain. Perhaps as part of a new military base map. But they shouldn't be anything players can have (this is a Mech game after all), and there's been no mention of a viable PvE element to the metagame (though we are all in the dark about the details for CW).

I would like to see them as an npc addition that would help in an attacker/defender game mode. Allowing command consoles to help give limited control over their movements as well. The defender could have turrets and what not on their side.

I would like them to see them as NPCs too! Would be great! Like:

- Convoy Mission
- Base attack mission
etc.

:)

It would be interesting if there were a gameplay mode on a very large scale similar to DOTA, with each team having a heavily fortified base, AI-controlled tanks and planes constantly pushing through certain areas, and players attempting to control specific, fortified areas for points (either with a time-penalty respawn mechanic or no respawn at all).

How big are the matches in LL? I think I loaned my copy of Crysis away, so I have not installed it yet.

Tanks could be involved in interesting mission objectives...destroy, defend, escort, just for looks, base defenses (if they insist on having bases). But the maps will have to be much larger than they currently are.

The maps are massive compared to MWO. I want to say their matches can be bigger than 12v12 as well. Depends on the game type I think.

And to even consider combined arms units, we'd have to get way beyond 12v12..... Battalion (36v36) size minimum.

That's true too. Provided they could be player controlled.

Just as a side thought. it would interesting if the commander could use the battle map to send a group of NPC tanks to a location. He couldn't give them commands or anything, just place them. That's not too far off from the ideas in the devblogs related to the UAVs, naval bombardments, airstrikes, etc. Not sure if they still have plans for that though.

The game will need to address every aspect of Ground/Sea/Air combat later in it's development I think. If not functionally, then at least as an aesthetic. Tanks and all.

Functionally: As NPC team based "guards" I would guess.

Aesthetics: Burnt-out tanks, Drop-ships racing over head (we already have some effects like this) and the like.

Can we have the game work correctly and perhaps some balance before consuming the devs time with this pointless crap?

Thanks.
