So I'm going to update this over time like previously, as it becomes really hard to read the data as well as present it if I do it in any larger chunks than 20-30. As well as actually collecting the data is a long and tedious process cause let's face it, PUGging sucks.

With the new changes to the end of round result tabulating the enemy data has also become much simpler (THANKS PGI!). However, there is the issue that my personal choice of mech (my Jenner <3) causes the diversity to vastly differ, because the other team is forced to have a light. Subtracting 20 mechs from the total (all lights) brings it to the same % as the friendly (which is what it should be, of course, with some slight variation due to mechs not connecting)

Previous data can be found: http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__1680369

This is data presented from ~7pm-11pm on Thursday 2/7/2013. I'll timecode each data set as it comes.

Of note: The combined total and combined enemy is skewed heavily in the distributions overall, as my mech directly influences which mechs will appear on the other team. Once I finalize my data in the next few days with 20 trials of assaults the skew in the combined total should be greatly diminished.

And good god there's a lot of assault and heavies running about.

good light pilots are stil around, but with the netcode lagshield somewhat fixed they are all going with bigger mechs.

I saw a bunch of pretty babies right after the patch hit, but they've largely vanished now. Haven't seen a single Neal in a drop for almost two days, except my own.

I've seen a few PBs running around today (8 in trials) and a few more in my premades. No Wangs at all.

Seems people aren't finding the heroes mechs worth it even with the money bonuses. Or maybe because of the removal of R&R and perm paints people just don't need the extra C-Bills and want to pretty up their own mechs (I'm guilty of that, I bought a new Jenner D so I could paint it instead of using founders)

I should try this some time given that every time I drop I see ecm. Thatd make much more interesting stats

There used to be a lot of good light pilots, before it became SSRM mode, then SSRM+ECM+lagshield facerollmode. Now it's thinning out a bit. I predict with a few tweaks to SSRMs and ECM function, we'll begin to see more people gravitating back to the old hit-and-run light fighting style.

I have the ECM stats. 22% on the enemy mechs and 16% friendly mechs. Difference being the Raven 3Ls the other team is getting to match my Jenner D (3 friendly 3Ls vs 16 on enemy).

Also of note: only one team overcame a DC (game 13), and I'm not even sure if he was DC. It was a goon group and they just started out TKing one of their members before winning.

thats weird given that 100% of the matches I drop with I see ecm.
Either we have it or they do or both do but I cant think how long its been since Ive seen a game where there was no ecm on either side

All the numbers of ECM per team are in the bottom section of the data. The 22% and 16% are the chance a mech on the enemy/friendly team has ECM. So basically 1 of every 5 enemy mechs are ECM mechs.

Also:
http://mwomercs.com/...ost__p__1825376 for raw data specifically tracking ECM and http://mwomercs.com/...made-info-dump/ for discussion of that data.

If you're in a mech class that heavily favors ECM, you're gonna give the other team one.

Like if I drop in my death's knob, it's almost guaranteed the enemy gets an ECM raven, or an SRMbomb commando. To minimize ECM, drop in mediums.

No one drives cicadas. No one.

Which is exactly what I found. If I ran in my Dragon the occurance of 3Ls on the enemy side would have dropped drastically most likely.

Cicadas need some tweaks and not to more speed.. maybe turn radius bonus.

so a match with 4 raven 3l and a ecm cicada would be an anomaly? Cause thats what I just saw lol
we had 2 they had 2 and the cicada

does printscreen save screenshots? and where do they go if so :)

Yes it does, it goes to your clipboard, so just open paint and paste. You have to be running in window or fullscreen windowed mode to not get a black screen when taking screenshots.

Also, it's not really an anamoly. My trials are small, but still, the Raven 3L is the most common light mech, and the cicada isn't that uncommon for mediums.

When I drop in my Centurion or Cataphract I feel it seems rare we have more than one light per team and frequently we have none at all.

However when I drop in my Jenner or Spider there tends to be 2-4 little'uns and often the enemy team will (appear at least) to be running a heavy-ECM premade. I'm guessing the few premades who are still running heavy Raven/Commando groups are hoovering up all the PuG-lights.

I think if I have a chance to get on tonight I'm going to run in my dragon to see how things change, if at all.
