Sweet. :D Love seeing the live fire test rather than just testing ground.

Yeah, should have instructed Bombadil to take something... a little more lethal, but meh it works for demo purposes!

WOOO! Bring on the Dakka! Been waiting for this one. This looks awesome. Might finally have something to compete with the MadCat in the heavy range...

...from behind a hill on the other side of the map :D

Yeah, poor Bombadil. Usually either not fast enough to close in to use his big guns, or agile enough to keep up with the flanking maneuvers. Still, it's good to see the quirks in actual mech on mech action. :)

Can't boat them though, so it looks like it will make a very nice little harasser or skirmisher, rather than a dedicated cheese-flinger.

Yea no boating but then when you can fire them off that quickly it's perfect for a close in support mech. Which fits nicely for this HBK.

It's going to be a great mech for that and long range indirect fire.

I am not sure, but those cooldowns that go down to 50% is like giving such a mech a second weapon of it for free. Unless its a energyweapon having to rely on heat as a second ressource this is a massive change. Especialyl when additionally on that you put a cooldown mod on that weapon.

watch the dragon video, think in damage and see how it shots 20 20 20 in a short time. This is a bordelrine case, come across any mech from behind and two of these shots are massively evil. Those quirks willd efinately change the battlefield and cause a lot paranoia

Just remember that only a handful of mechs get quirk %'s like that, and they are not Tier 1-2 mechs at that, so it's not giving powerful quirks to powerful mechs already.

That also being said, some of these mechs will do very well in specific roles, such as the HBK-4J being a close LRM support mech or long range indirect fire.

sure, but getting nearly twice the firepower is probably more than making a t5 a t1 mech. Many people will just go and see how far they can push these extreme builds. Interesting are lrm mechs with range since they now get something truly unique: a range others can not operate in.

The nice thing with this 'rubric' the quirks are based off of, is you can see the extremes when you apply them to any mech. But the mechs getting 'quirk' buffs are at the low end of the performance table per say.

Also a note on LRM range. Going past 1000m is only helpful if you have something that is spotting them, thus it will require teamwork.
