I think that will only be the case for the console versions. PC is download only. IIRC there was a "Print your own box" file somewhere, an official one.

I highly doubt there will ever be a MW5 PC disc version.

There's physically boxed DVD for consoles (XBox + PS4), but none for PC.

About the closest you can get to this is to buy MW5 from GOG.com and then burn this into DVD for safekeeping.

MW5 from GOG.com can still be installed onto your PC, years after MW5 game servers have been turned off!!
This is the selling point of most GOG.com games ;)

(Don't get me wrong, I do wish/hope that MW5 gets a very long online gaming life!!)

I have the files on USB Stick, as long you do not exceed the write cycles of a reliable brand of USB Sticks they should outlast DVDs that age via time.

Its a little slow but i bought a 512GB USB Stick for 48 bucks solely to archive game files.
Also i have the Mod files on it.

SSDs tend to lose data over time if exposed to extended periods without power as they need to be periodically rewritten to refresh their data cells that have their charge degrade with time otherwise.

HDs have inevitably a mechnical failure at some point in their lifespan if the controller outlasts the mechanic part of the drive.
