When fighting an opposing force that is better armed, do what you can to restrict their ability to concentrate fire. Force them to engage multiple targets, force them to divide their forces, force them out of cover with artillery.

Feint manuevers may be used to lead you into an ambush or trick you into dividing your forces. You can tell when a feint is executed because only lighter and faster 'Mechs can achieve them. So when an easy target like a Light lance presents itself, you'll think before chasing after them.
