Wait... People pay for aimbot? Whatever this aimbot does (guessing it assists your aiming)
You pay someone else, to play a free game? Not to mention, if you suck so much at playing the game and need something to do the aiming for you... You have picked the wrong hobby.

<--- this one has adjusted the FoV and is pleased!!

Some of these things amaze my feeble little mind, because this reasoning is beyond my comprehension.

[Redacted] has been selling a hack for this game since beta. A LOT of people are paying them for it too, apparently.

So before you make sarcastic "oh they won they must be cheating" remarks, maybe you should consider very nearly every online game has been ruined by these jerks to date? More than half of the Crysis2 community was paying these dipswitches for hacks. WarZ(a terrible game mind you) had to ban more than half their players.

If you honestly think people aren't cheating here, you're delusional.

There's always going to be people who are just plain good, and there's ALWAYS going to be just as many cheaters unless one of these companies gets off their ***** and do something about it. Which they won't, because no one else does.

It's almost depressing how many people are willing to pay a huge amount of money per month just to win.

Yeah but here's the kicker, some of us aim just as well as the people paying for it. It's kinda like getting sex for free while other people have to pay for it. It just makes me laugh.

If some people gotta pay for it, I'm not gonna lose any sleep. ;)

Wow, simply, wow. The fact that site exists is disgusting. Those people should die slow and painfully. This is all the more reason for anti hack software to be developed and ran in tandum with MWO. I'll be more suspicious than ever now of people uncanny accuracy with point projectile weapons.

No it's bad game design, that makes objects appear bigger/smaller than their actual model size, and its the same the opposite way round, there are a number of buildings on River City that extend beyond their model.

When the rock is taller than your mech and you have 3 heavy/assaults standing on it...riiiiight. Don't blame it all on bad game design.

It is definitely going on out there, the question is what to do about it. I can't confirm aimbot activity other than suspicious circumstances, but there is some really strange "you have been targetted" stuff going on when there is absolutely no way you could be targetted. I'm not sure if this is something to do with the Xray hack.

PGI should be tackling this head on with a transparent discussion. I expected to see a dedicated locked down thread on this by PGI to address the issue and respond to the community. I am sure they are receiving all kinds of feedback regarding this - which in itself validates that the community has concerns regarding the issue.

Their are certain poptart pilots who have an auto aim script. I have seen them jump up and auto target and hit people.

Example. I was in my dragon on Frozen City. Cat-3D (two ER PPC and 1 Guass) jumps up near the tail end of the dropship and hits me. No problem, he's a good shot, I hit him back with a PPC hit (AC/5 missed). He goes back down, lose target Second time, same thing. So I move this time around a building. Jumps up, see the mech snap about 60 degrees and hits me again in the new position.

Maybe he has target decay, I don't know. But each hit was a torso hit and nothing else with some splash from the ER PPCs. Seems kind of fishy wouldn't you think? I don't know. But I have seen this on more than one occassion.

Cant say that is particularly fishy. Sounds like you were standing still. He popped saw you, probably with thermals, turned and hit you center mass. Nothing particularly spectacular about it.

With BAP and Extended Range module I can target people who do to draw distance can't even see my mech. :)

You don't even need thermals to do this if your graphics are up. It's actually easier to aim when not in thermals unless the weather conditions are Whiteout.

Not fishy at all. Good pilots do this regularly. Just because a target loses LOS with you doesn't mean he's forgotten you're there. It's not hard to extrapolate and predict movement, especially uninventive pugs who tend to just take the brute force method when approaching to engage.

If you suspect someone of hacking, step one should be to report the player to support@mwomercs.com. There is no step two!

If you want to keep this discussion going (for whatever reason, because: see post above):
- Do not name companies who may or may not produce hacks.
- Do not tell how to find hacks, that might or might not exist.
- Do not tell in detail what these self-proclaimed hacks claim to provide.

You can talk about why someone would resort to using foul play to gain an advantage. As long as you don't name that someone or start to use foul language.

Did I make myself clear?

Some stuff to watch for:
-Lag generator.
-Aimbot-successive quick kills.
-Never jam UAC-5's. (Macro)
-Radar hacks.

Devs have already stated the macro is fine as it doesn't do anything you can't do yourself with timing.

If someone feels the need to use Aimbot and pay whatever per month they are charging then they are a very sad lot of people.

I mean with a good mouse and modding your User.cfg you can get head shots so freaking easy.

I mean come on its not super fast paced so you dont need rubberbanding aimbot. Seriously an aimbotter in the game that pays the fee really really has to be such a lonely loser thats on the verge of ending themselves to even think about it. Or just be that effing stupid.

Could always just pay for the hack where you see all enemy mechs. No more surprise splatcats!

I guess you missed the part where I said I moved around a building and because of the map, the height of which the 3D has to jump at is pretty near the top of the jump arc from behind the drop ship. There is no way a pilot can scan the battle field and turn a mech to hit a center torso shot after shot which is why I said it's kinda fishy. Yes, the first two shots were my fault for standing there. The third shot I had moved around the building coming to stop and he still hit me in the center torso.

The operative words here being: "coming to a stop". He has the high ground to begin with and after popping up there is very little he can't see. If you don't want him to able to put his mouse cursor over your center torso so easily and fire, don't stop moving.
