I am sick of these incredibly lopsided matches and if it doesn't get corrected soon I am done! I have dropped in multiple matches and one team wins by 8 kills to 1 or 2 most every match. This is not balanced in any way, shape, or form!!! No matchmaking at all is better than this crap!

The Elo system needs time to find your correct place on the elo spectrum, and so to for your enemies. the more matches you play the closer it will get to where you should be.

Many players are till in the blob very near to the Elo starting starting score of 1300, and many have not yet played enough matches to begin stratifying into separate tiers.

My matches since MM3 went on have all been great, and Elo is working as intended from my point of view.

I'm also having a great time with Elo, remember that at the moment many people have inflated or deflated Elo scores, average skilled players that play with a group probably did a lot of pugstomping and consequently had a very high Elo, while skilled players that pugged often might have a lower Elo score (because they were randomly matched with complete noobs who can cost them matches). The Elo will get better as more people play, it has only had 'real' data for 1 day. Of course its never going to be perfect, but to me its already better.

How odd. I have played 3-4 hours today, and very few matches where outright "lopsided".

Even if half the matches ended up 8-0 or 7-1 I would still blame coincidence.

PUG matches are, by far and large, completely random, regardless of functional ELO.

Where is the patience? It will take a little time. We would hate to see you go.

They started seeding elo Feb 5th; if you played " a lot" since then (no idea how many matches are required), then you are "in your correct Elo position" and will see even matches.

It will take WEEKS to get Elo settled down.

Your stats from the last few days is all it has, play more games and it will get better.

i.e. when the patch came in EVERYONE was equal, it will start settling down over time *if* you keep playing

I have probably played 300 to 400 matches since February 5th.

This is not quite true, the problem is actually the other way around. They have gathered info since the patch before and used that to get a head start so to say on the ratings. The issue is that the match maker is too picky when it comes to Elo differences.

it's from the 19th patch, not the 5th and they have stated it will take weeks....

...getting link....

done!

oh and I'm wrong, it was tracking since the 5th for 'pre-seeding'

also if the match maker is taking a LONG time to find a match for you, then the Elo net gets wider and wider

IMO it's nothing to do with how good you are, it's more about pitting Solo players against Premades. I fancy my chances 1 v 1 against anyone in MWO and genrally win most 1 v 1 battles yet tonight playing as a soloist I hardly won a game.

My Stats are hilarious, I have lost loads more games than won but killed hundreds more players than deaths. This shows that player skill means very little, it's all about team coordination and premades will beat the PUG every time.

If PGI do not separate them with their own queue system then MWO will never be a success, it will always be a little game that a few thousand Mech fans play.

Nope, not always on the losing side there friend. Before ELO matches were ending with the losing side averaging 4-7 kills. Now the losing side averages 1-3 kills per match.

Just give it a few weeks to work out. It's too early to quit :)

Play a class you haven't played much the last two weeks. That should be close to the default elo and will avoid some of the wierd swings which will happen.

I thought the ELO system was reverted back because it had problems. From what I know it isn't even on the server at the moment. So before you rage quit at least figure out if ELO is even your current problem.....

That might help if I hadn't been playing every class leveling XP most every week. You know what I'm saying? ELO is putting the beat down on me right now. heheheheh

Dont worry Grizz all you have to do is take an unknown amount of beatings for an unknown amount of time and maybe things will work out. Sounds fun!
