It seems to me that hacks are being used. I am a Battletech guy. Read many of the books. Sure, manywere written like comic books (which I liked), and a few were superior writing, but all have been enjoyable to me.

Innersphere or clan, there is honor, in the merc outfits and Great Houses it is the same. There are money grabbing jerks, power hungry female dogs, etc. etc. etc......

Yet, there is twined, desperation and honor!

I do not understand, why hack? Is this common in my merc brotherhood?

Why do it? Life is about struggle, I hoped that here the struggle would be on an even playing field, but it is seaming to be filled with pop tarting hacks. This is as sad as the teacher that calls on the kid at school for an answer, that he obviously doesn't know, and why, cause of the weak soul.

I am ranting, why?

I hope you mercs, like me, or wolfs, agree, there should be a higher goal= no=hacks! Some houses havethem, are any better?

I've seen no legitimate accusations of hacking personally :/

Anybody in our unit caught hacking would be expelled.

But knowing most of the guys pretty well I can't honestly see any of them doing it anyway.

I have recently ben in matches where entire team was killed by headshots, including lights traveling 150 kph at 600 meters to 800 metrrs, by pop tarters. [Redacted]

I believe that good fellas can be trained to be good pilots, but not that good pilots ca be trained to be good guys, a leopards spots cannot be changed.
Like anything else, a few can ruin and change a good thing. If you suspect, then act, tell the devs, if you are not sure, share your concerns.
The guys we played against have been reported.

I play a lot 'n no proof of hacks.. seen fishy things a time or two. They do it for **** 'n gigz 'cos dey don care mang... don't worry about it they're either just having a laugh or are probably one of the many crazy weird people you think of when you think of the world. Like in real life as well.

Cheating... is for... losers.

I'm not saying there aren't any I meent that I've seen nothing fishy in any of my games, and I only have a catapult so I can't really complain about someone head shotting me because the only way for me to make it easier for them would be for my to run a cataphract and stand still.

Personally didn't run into anyone using obvious hacks in about 3200 games since closed beta.
I also doubt that an aimbot could take laterally movement (600 - 800 meter @ 150 kph) AND lag this well into account.

Furthermore I think (no offense intended) "reading lots of books about big stompy robots" is not the best argument to start a discussion.

I know a lot of people that use hacks and as an IT proffessional keep up with hacking and security in general at some level, and can confirm that there is unfortunately a 2d 3d radar, and aimbot of sorts, I don't know about anything beyond that but I know there is indeed an aimbot out for the game, from what I've heard however its really not quite good enough yet (doesn't track targets) so getting shot from 600-800 like that sounds like he has advanced optics, and low mouse sensitivity or is just a really good shot.
