Increase Alpine In The Map Rotation!

The reason we don't see Alpine so much is because River City Night is a big bully and stole a huge portion of Alpine's statistical probability.

+1 to this! Alpine changed my entire outlook on this game. Its a real game again, not just some Flavor of the month E-peen stroker, I am actualy looking forward to playing more as opposed to just get my $60 worth before I get fed up and stop entirely. There is a reason not to just equip short range weapons again! Jump jets no longer an oddity of play style! I saw an LRM fired by a PUG player...and hit something! I saw a Light mech scout, SCOUT, not just run into a Dragon's chest and hold down the SSRM button (Sadly all light mechs are still Raven 3L's), Cat's and Pract's living together, Total ancarchy!

I would suggest at least doubling the chance of a newly released map showing up for the first 30 days after it is released. I personally have played on Alpine 4 times since the patch ... I want more of it

There are no ban... because it just doesn't support Community-made maps.... in fact, there are no Community-made maps.
You must be thinking of something else.

I consider most of you lucky that you are not getting Alpine. I think Alpine sucks. The idea of a huge maps is great but an entire map for snipers is no better than an entire map for brawlers. Of course there is no map dedicated entirely to brawlers. Even the dreaded River City, or worse, River City night, gives you a few places to make long range shots if you like that.

I am glad that there is a new map out. We need more maps. Thing is the other maps that we have seem like a lot of time was put into them and they are well done, if a bit small. I would think that a map that size could fit in something for everybody. If I could choose what maps to run things would be different. Maybe I could even learn to tolerate the great expanses of nothingness if I knew it was comming. Maybe all I need is some mental preperation and a stiff drink or 3. Maybe the map will actually be fun with 12 on 12, but I doubt it. Thing is we can not choose and we can not know in advance. It got to the point last night where I got so sick of Alpine that I just wandered off into nowhere, Diconnected, and started playing some Eve Online. I am about to launch the game again and hope, desperately hope, that I get anything, even River City night, for at least 75% of my drops because if I don't I'll probably be turning on something else within the hour, again.

Now if you want to talk about being able to try new stuff when it is released, why not ask why the Trebuchet is not a trial mech right now?

It would be better if we could BE PREPARED FOR THE LARGER MAPS....but we will never be able to select the map so whatever.

I think I hate PGI.

I would rather not have alpine increased.

I get 5-15 FPS on that map.

All other maps I run 45-55 consistently.

108 drops as of right now, and only 4 Alpine Peaks.

I'd say there's something FRICKIN WRONG HERE.

It's a gorgeous map, but the size is uncalled for. At least it's not River City... but give me Forest Colony any day.

Problem with alpine is:
- Not designed for 8 players
- Cap point and base capture speed need to be adjusted
- Total number of point in capture need to be increased

Otherwise if your team has few light or light that don't do their job you lost before it even started, when it take 3-4 minutes to get were the action his you need to take that in account in the victory condition.
If they were to change that, the map might get interesting but at the moment you have more chance of losing without getting a chance to react due to the speed at which the victory condition are filed and the size of the map.

I find this interesting because today I got 11 or so maches of alpine in a row by the end of it I was sick of the map

Really You guys are having trouble getting this map I get Alpine 2/3 of the time. I really enjoy it but seems something is off in the matchmaker where someone of us get it all the time and some none at all

Implementation and Balance for one. Also These player made maps give way to farming for cbils and what not. Its in the Dev posts as to why they don't want Player made maps as of yet if ever

Weird but when I solo drop I seem to get alpine a lot but when in 4's or 8's it seems to never drop And the reason for no player made maps is have you downloaded the cryengine SDK and actually tried to make a map with it - sheesh its great and all but spent weeks trying to make something slightly decent so far as a little pet project and its hard work
