My ELO is so low, we all arrive at the drop point on a short bus. My ELO sucks so bad that I was matched with my grandma. My ELO is so bad that usually the first comment in chat during a match is "How do I make my mech move?".

I think ELO is working, but not consistantly. This was data taken from screenshots I captured from a portion of last night's battles when I started thinking there was a problem.

Dangit, I have data in a nice format, but am having trouble getting the forum to display it... I'll figure it out...

yeah most of my matches have been with unfamiliar names and close matches- though i did see several of them pop up at various times during the course of the day afterwards. only difference is when there are the occasional 8-0/8-1 stomps i have a 50/50 shot of being on the winning side of it instead of 10%

I got matched against an Cong steak sauce unit.... Them running their A1s and DDC... while I was in my noob rated medium mech.

Here you go:


Add up the tonnage of the 'mechs and that's 105 tons in favor of the winner.


Add up the tonnage of the 'mechs and that's 110 tons in favor of the winner.


Add up the tonnage of the 'mechs and that's 70 tons in favor of the winner.


Add up the tonnage of the 'mechs and that's 60 tons in favor of the winner.

Most of the time the tonnage differences between the teams was a light 'mech or less, however, when the tonnage gets off by as much as an entire heavy 'mech, that alone can have significant impact on the outcome of a battle.

After all, I think we can all agree that you take an Assault pilot and pit him against an equally skilled 'mech of any other, lesser class 'mech, more often than not the Assault pilot will win just due to the more powerfull weaponry and armor available to him.

Anyway, this just shows that ELO is a work in progress. I'm of a mind to give it time, for now.
