Being a MechWarrior fan since practically birth I have noticed a few things that could be added to increase the over all experience of the game that the previous and much older versions of this franchise had.

1. Bring back the Timber Wolf / Mad Cat. This should need no explanation, however, this is the iconic mech that (as far as I can tell) everyone associates with MechWarrior (at least the older version of the games).

2. Implement elementals as either a stand-alone mech or as a weapon option. Everyone who has played MechWarrior long enough knows that piloting a massive, city-destroyer is fun and all, but being one of those little guys jump jetting all over the place while harassing enemy mechs is quite satisfying.

3. Use armor allocation. This would bring more strategy to the game as pilots decide which parts of their mech should be armor differently (such as light on the legs in favor of fortifying where you store your ammo). Or at least add on armor as one would add on weapons.

4. I noticed some of the maps that the environment isn't solid. Watching numerous youtube videos and playing enough times I've seen laser and missles pass straight through buildings instead of being blocked.

5. Making the environment destructible would deepen the strategy of the game. Leveling a city for better view or blowing up a gas pipe to cause extra damage.

6. Have weather affect more than visibility. Such as a blizzard may lower sight range but because of the cold you can fire your weapons more often while producing less heat, or after walking through a river or other body of water your mech's movement is limited for a brief period.

7. Have falling from high heights damage the legs. This used to be the case in older games and so far I haven't seen that in MWO.

8. This sort of ties in with 7 but having minor damage when bumping into obstacles or other mechs.

This is all I have for now.

Already stated a billion times that we are pre-clan invasion as far as timeline goes. We do not have lane mechs yet.

You mean ELEMENTALS, not elements, and again, CLAN TECH IS NOT IN THE GAME RIGHT NOW.

There is an armor tab in the Mechlab already. Has been since day 1 of beta.

These are glitches. Please file bug reports.

Already stated a billion times as planned but low priority. Let them get the rest of the game finished before they do the fancy stuff.

Was in the game along with being able to knock other mechs down by running into them, but was removed becuase it was being crazy abused. Waiting for reimplementation.

Please read the forums before you post.

Have to wait for the clans to arrive in timeline. but yes, gonna happen.

2. Implement elements as either a stand-alone mech or as a weapon option. Everyone who has played MechWarrior long enough knows that piloting a massive, city-destroyer is fun and all, but being one of those little guys jump jetting all over the place while harassing enemy mechs is quite satisfying.

not sure what you mean, sounds like the gameplay as is.

3. Use armor allocation. This would bring more strategy to the game as pilots decide which parts of their mech should be armor differently (such as light on the legs in favor of fortifying where you store your ammo). Or at least add on armor as one would add on weapons.

This is all ready in-game.

4. I noticed some of the maps that the environment isn't solid. Watching numerous youtube videos and playing enough times I've seen laser and missles pass straight through buildings instead of being blocked.

Happens sometimes when lock is lost on missiles and they go off nowhere. missiles that do this are not striking anything. Terrain does in fact stop weapons fire of all types.

5. Making the environment destructible would deepen the strategy of the game. Leveling a city for better view or blowing up a gas pipe to cause extra damage.

Would be cool. Sounds like a Dev nightmare, but would be cool.

6. Have weather affect more than visibility. Such as a blizzard may lower sight range but because of the cold you can fire your weapons more often while producing less heat, or after walking through a river or other body of water your mech's movement is limited for a brief period.

All ready in-game, at least the heat mechanic anyway

7. Have falling from high heights damage the legs. This used to be the case in older games and so far I haven't seen that in MWO.

All ready in game

8. This sort of ties in with 7 but having minor damage when bumping into obstacles or other mechs.

Vehicle collisions and damage, complete with mechs being knocked down was in game, but has been removed. I forget if for retooling or permanently.

This is all I have for now.

whoop! Void beat me to it. :P

My apologies, I'm not on enough to know everything about the game. I only get to play every now and then and just wrote down suggestions as I thought them.

Speaking of which:

Another suggestion, flatter or more arena-esque maps (I'm sure they are being made or thought of, but still).
