Ok it seems that the damage transfer bug is still loose and now it's even happening from the front too..
Was just in a match with a zombie atlas left alive CT only remaining... we were both running straight on at each other.. a salvo of 2 ac/5's arm mounted landed but did zero damage, cant recall if i even got a hit marker. This was witnessed and confirmed by friends in spectator mode. the dual LL shot that followed landed and killed him..
I'm guessing i hit both his destroyed side torso's due to convergance.. There should have been damage transfer but thier wasent.
Even earlier on i had 3 seperate single shots with an LBX-10 land on a Phract explode on torso but deal no damage..
So it seems that it's gone from bad (where only rear hits were not counting) to worse ( where any direction hits are not registering). This is occuring both in single shots and in multiple simultanious strikes on target...
I thought u guys were supposed to have this bug squashed yet it's still running loose..
Can we get some feedback on this one???

It's definitely worse. Now it transfers on full armor parts front to back and top to bottom.

Has "dev comment plz" ever worked, anywhere, in the history video game forums?

I had a dude shoot the 'head' of my trebuchet (at least I assume so as it said it was top front), but it damaged the front armor... when he shot the BACK of the head.
Take a look at this pls.

I'm still having problems intermittently with inappropriate damage transfer from front to back. Example - stripped torso armor in front, so I turn around to run, and use my back armor to buy some time. Usually is ballistics, but getting hit in rear torso leaves that armor completely intact, and all the damage goes to internals, killing me many times. Based on what guys that kill me in chat have said gauss, ac's and occasionally srms (not strks) do this. NOt sure about ppc, but no issues with lasers so far

Don't worry they seem to believe net-code rewind will fix hitbox and damage transfer bugs for some reason - summed up comment from a dev.

Noticed PPCs hitting rear armor when mechs are looking straight at eachother.

I was just in a match where I destroyed the internal structure of a Stalker's left torso...and yet, the left arm was still attached, still had armor, and the weapon in it still functioned normally. Not sure how it was attached, but something definitely went wrong there, lol. Both of my groupmates who were dropping with me at the time saw it on their screens as well, so it was not just a display bug on my end, whatever it was.
So, yeah...definitely something weird going on with the damage transfer.

The issue with Damage transfer for me has been fixed. My 5 SRM6 stalker is now registering full hits to everything. I will say its harder to find atlas backs to shoot, but I was able to take out an atlas back in one volley with 2 ER PPCS 2 medium lasers and 1 LL from my CataC1X .
In matches where I can get upclose and personal with mechs, I can easily hit 1200+ damage .
The story from OP may be lag related? Potentially the CT of an atlas is 54 points untouched, it would still take a lot of punishment from AC5s in that case.
Please note I have a ping around 15ms all the time.
So when the issue came up last patch it was really obvious (3 volleys to kill an atlas from behind). It doesn't seem like that anymore.

just had this happen to me in river city, in tunnel. Was piloting my Wang, followed team into tunnel, gausskitty inside. Gausskitty shoots me in what appears to be CT - see the gauss plow straight into my face, i'm facing directly at him (nailed him in the cockpit with my AC20, <3 catapults) Take all damage on rear armor, coring me there instantly and destroying one of my medium lasers. Asked team if anyone saw a teammate shoot me in the back just in case, but no - i was kinda up on the right higher part of tunnel, and nobody was directly behind me at all.
I've seen this a few other times too. At least for me it seems to usually be gauss doing it, though I think i've seen an AC20 do it as well.
