There aren't yet any consoles that run nearly as fast as a supercomputer (such as a Cray), so I don't really see how that "is as you said." Also, consoles technically are computers as well in circuitry and many of the same functions, you just can't swap out internal parts (i.e. RAM, video card, etc.) without voiding your warranty.

but I'm talking about gaming, pc's are bad at games and thus they have bad games. consoles are good at games and thus they have good games.

as far as hardware goes, that figuring that kind of stuff is for losers and not worth my time. microsoft knows what they're doing- but hey enjoy no exclusives, bad games, and poorly made ports while I enjoy the real deal.

The funny part about that is that a large chunk of console games also have PC versions with identical gameplay (notable console-only games include Halo and GoW). An even funnier part is that Microsoft pretty much owns the PC gaming market because almost all games are made specifically for Windows only (Mac games are rare). There are some PC exclusives, namely real-time strategy games (playing those with a controller is difficult) and the entire Free-To-Play market.

If by "crying baby" you mean "random, bored passerby" then you're absolutely correct. Also, I haven't played Minecraft in quite a while (college eats up a lot of time, plus MWO is my current gig).

the pc versions are garbage. they look worse, and play worse. not to mention you have to spend 1000 dollars at least on a computer. if you want the real and best looking experience you have to play on a console. and of course microsoft owns the gaming market, it's why they make the 360. and as far as strategy games go? strategy games are boring and for losers.

Anyway, 360, not so great. CD drives are only suppose to last 2-4 years. My xbox already killed its drive.
PC, I still have one from about 10 years that still works fine, along with all the games on it.
Gaming platform, they make a new one in a few years after they release it. Then you have to get the new one if you want new game.
PC, new game comes out, I can add in more Ram, change out video card, replace/update drives and it still works.
Platform, power supply breaks, buy new one or pay professional to fix. Very little I can do. (Can replace CD drive of Xbox, if I'm careful)
PC, with ease replace power supply.
PC can also:
- be used to create my art.
- explore the internet with ease.
- type and communicate with ease.
- store files and important documents.
- play a large variety of game types, but just maybe not excel at action type game.
Game console:
- play games.
- limited to only select games that will run on the Platform.
- has better graphics for the games that run on it, for a decent price. (some computers can as well though)
- limited to controller format. No real keyboard.
- requires almost all programs and games to be an additional purchase.
- minecraft is not the only pc game. (though it can be fun with friends)
- minecraft is Also on the Xbox...

PC has more versatility, console has more focus and better in it's focused elements though a pc can also have great gaming abilities as well, but at more cost.


So, anyway, after my useless comparison that will likely be ignored, what does this have to do with this thread's subject?

Lolz, I have a PS3, 2 Xbox360s, and a (was top of the line about 6 months ago) PC gaming rig. I have Skyrim on my PC and borrowed it for Xbox for comparison. Not only was Skyrim better looking in stock form on the PC, but it ran with MUCH higher framerates, 90 to be exact. The Xbox version, not only looked worse but had a lower resolution and capped out at 45 frames. I used the same TV, by the way. Oh, and while you're stuck with a mediocre looking stock TES5 on Xbox, I got some beautimous mods for my PC.

Then there is Rage for the PS3, which I also have on PC. Again, the PS3 version looks like a steamy pile of ****, whereas my PC version is again, exquisite to look at, with higher frames to boot.

Me thinks ye are the sucker that thinks your $100 HDMI cable from BestBuy is better than the $5 HDMI cable from Newegg or Amazon.

building a pc is too expensive and complicated. the other alternative is buying a dell but the computer has no good games and a console is cheaper. Plus i'm talking about games, not that nerd crap like photoshop and programming.

I built mine for same price I got my PS3 at. MSI motherboard, 550ti, 8gb RAM, PSU, and an i7. I just recycled a case, some fans, my harddrives, and DVD drive.

well the ps3 is an overly expensive blu ray player that can't even do high definition audio or real 1080p. 600$ for no games lol.

also my xbox has better specs than that because microsoft made it.
