does anyone know how to change the cockpit default lighting?

i would prefer it to be at lowest setting.

It would certainly be nice to have an option in the menu to set your default lighting level. I personally don't have an issue with it. On or off, the night map looks just the same(I guess my PC doesn't know how HDR works >_> ), but more options are always beneficial.

It's a simulation, dude.

Yes, everything could be automated, but that makes for less fun.

when i turn my car on it doesn't reset the settings iv changed last time i drove it.

some like to fiddle and some dont.

I wouldn't mind having the spotlights on my pilots head turned down a little either.

Depends on if my wife drove my truck instead of her car.

I would rather they focus on the out of match weapon grouping, myself.
