And after seeing multiple matches with several KONG members on the same team last night, (among many, many other merc corps padding their stats the same way, so this ain't a KONG hate), I still doubt their is much validity to the actual scoring. But congrats and a cookie for you.

As usual, just not gonna be impressed by Epeen. I worry more about what I see in game than out.

this game is only difficult if you dont pilot the right mechs. I missed out on the assault tree because i didnt have a ddc or a sniperboat stalker ready to go when this event was suddenly announced. Entirely my fault and I'm disappointed in myself for being unprepared for surprise events.

with that said though, i'm the one that knocked acfromdc down the list from 3 yesterday with an ac/20 to his eye although his team was one down. wasn't a good game by any means.

It's unfortunate to see he's still at 6th place because I really like his name. counting wins with random people is a bad idea because its entirely luck based. While your personal skill can factor in, ultimately it always comes down to which team has more skilled players and which team got those guys who keep disconnecting but still click launch. the skill problem I suspect elo was introduced to help mitigate but I'm not sure if its mitigating or aggravating at this point

Hell Yes. Just got up and I'm ready to climb to the top. Sure I went back 40 places while I was resting but hey, a match or two will fix that

Nah it shouldve been a bracket tournament. Thats the only way to depict true skill.

That is in no way indicative of skill... endurance/persistance/determination maybe. but not skill.

No, this is the best way to determine skill. Can you do consistently well, even when pushed hard? That's what matters.

Also, I'm guilty of this a couple times, but I mainly wanted to see how many Rangers I was paired up against. So out of the 40 or so sync dropping (and seeing 40 people were actively talking over each other there wasn't any coordination in matches, we actually preferred trying to kill each other), I only matched with 2 or 3 on a consistent basis, and 2 or 3 others if I had a long search time.

Well then the criteria for consistently well needs to be upped. Ive seen some of the other top 25 assaults and im truly not impressed
