Atm its terrible - i cant count the games where my PUG is significantly underweighted like 2-0-3-3 vs 4-0-1-3.

Or has a disproportionate. setup like 2 Awesomes, 3 Dragons, 1 Cent and 2 Jenner against 2 DD-C, 3 Cats, 1 Treb and 2 Raven.

IMO, It's broken. I have lost my last 12 matches, whilst always reaching the top 2 on the leader boards. And I still get stuck with the same types that drove me from this game before the new matchmaking system. The idea of ELO, was to balance out wins/losses, and to partner and match you with people of similar skill levels...all I'm getting is noobs, whilst the enemy are pros, and endless steamrolls. Then on top of that, I've had countless games were we have been down 200-300 tonnes, or 1-2 players short. For me personally, I haven't noticed any positive changes, it has only made the game less enjoyable for me. But again, that's my personal opinion.

Ill try to keep this concise.

MM thought you were good enough to counteract/negate the badness of your bads, it thought the same of
Mr. 1000 foudner atlas". With him it was right, with you, it was wrong, so your ELO is probably slightly overstated.

Nope, you still don't make sense as Elo picks other teammates with lighter restrictions as the time passes, and no you still can't justify me being bad just cause I couldn't pull a team full of down syndrome kids out of the gutter.
Y'know, it's a team game and even 1 mech down could sometimes mean a lost game. I thought you knew that cause you were pro.
As far as I'm concerned, and Elo, I did my job of being a skilled player and kept my high score on my team.

Again, logic. You still don't seem to comprehend it, but it's ok, you're trying.

EDIT: Sorry, TL: DR and probably too pointless TR on your numbers post as numbers and illogical view don't go together. 1+1=2, not 3.

The started tracking elo February 5th.

If you had a ton of wins before Feb 5th, they are not relevant to your current standing in the matchmaker. Only your performance since Feb 5th matters. If you barely played at all since Feb 5th (taking a break?) the you are at (or near) the base starting elo, along with a very large proportio of other players.

The more you play, the closer you will get to your correct elo rating.

That doesnt fix the real problem... since it averages the teams elo someone with a very high elo will get stuck with 7 very low scores to make that team average equal a hypothetical 8 decent but average players

Ex: say I have a 2500 elo. And the other team is comprised of 8 1000 elo players. The other seven people on my team would have to average 785.

As a individuals elo increases they will find themselves surrounded by progressively worse teammates and the end result is the good individuals elo will drop due to being grouped with terrible players. Your elo isnt your skill at the game, its based on your luck in dropping with terrible players. (At least as far as solo dropping is concerned.)

Effectvely they have not solved how to actually individualize ELO

You are projecting. Your theory has huge holes in it but suffice to say, people who project can only see the reality they wish.

My lance and I are getting dropped over and over and over and over again with players that usually die within about 3 minutes. When we play it usually takes us about 30-60 seconds to get a match, if we don't time out. When we do drop, we do our usual 500+ damage but the players we drop with are usually lucky to break 100. We will get our 3-5 kills after it becomes 4v8 but you can only do so much when you are facing double your numbers, double your tonnage or more against players that know how to play. Our win ratio is now about 30% and it isn't from us pug stomping.

This is a result of the matchmaker casting a net too wide to drag in any players it can to fill our ranks. These are usually players out of their depth and it is handicapping us considerably. The players in my ranking, for the most part, play well tested, high alpha builds and there is a prominence of ECM. There is no leveling builds chassis anymore because you can't afford to not be competitive. This atmosphere has considerably amplified the horrendous hit registration and second-to-second changing lag leading issues. When a 'mech stopped in front of you with a red engine takes a full alpha from you, gets hit and takes minimal damage, you then risk possible destruction because of bad game mechanics. Put this in the now highly competitive atmosphere with high alpha builds and possible changes to almost certain destruction.

I know at least 8 players that have openly stopped playing as a result of Elo and I'm thinking I might join them until it gets tweaked a little more. I need players as good as we are on our team, not people who are effectively not there because they run off and get themselves killed while doing minimal damage.

All these forum warriors that are telling everyone how good they are now and how crap we must be because of our experience ... let's just say that I faced some of you before Elo, you didn't seem all that fantastic to me then and I've not seen you on the field since Elo was implemented. So please keep your projection and personal attacks to yourselves.

Atm Elo don't work for 4 man Premades.
I had Pug games and 2 man drops.
Everything worked fine, but in 4 man Premades the Chassi weighting is totally off.
We had a lance of 1-2 Meds, 1-2 Heavy and one Assault.
We got other Meds and Heavy from the PUG Pool. And were thrown against 3 Assaults and 3 Ravens and some Heavys.

This didn't happen only once but on a row on Saturday and Sunday. So when we had been fighting in a Medium Lance we were always steamrollered by ECM Lights and Atlantes (thanks to the Tournament tons of Ravens and Spiders are around and Atlantes).
When dropping in a 2 Man Premade everything was fine in balancing.
Dropping Solo you were sometimes as filler for a Medium weight Premade.
The weight was right in the Drops but the Classes totally off.

So your Chance to have a decent 4 man Premade Drop is very simple: Go Atlantes and ECM Lights only. No More then
1 Medium or Heavy, or MM3 will screw the game up.

For my second time since OB i will stop playing till the Situation is leveld out.
(Other time was when ECM caused Lag Spikes on introduction).
Other Players which i spoke to say the same: We don't want to drop ECM Lights /Atlantes only.
And we want to drop in Lance Mode because it is more fun dropping in Company, but in the moment it is losing only thanks to the Matchmaker horror.

And i have no problems when in PuG mode dropping with my Awesome, Stalker, Catapult, Cataphract, Centurion, Hunchback.
Then i have a good 50% win/lose rate with Elo and very good and close Matches 80% of the time.
In Company with friends it is Horrordrive.
And they say the same: Pugging Playable, 4 man Premade it's not.
And the Premades are the Social Players, and Social Players will keep a game over a long time vivid.

If you are usually doing better than the other non-premade teammates, perhaps you would improve your ELO by solo pugging a bit? ELO is somewhat tracked by the group average, so it may be that someone in your group perhaps is weighing you down.

On the other hand, if you are not winning at least 50% of your games (according to the stats), I think you may be somewhat stuck in ELO hell or perhaps you need to help out the frustrating teammates as much as you possibly can...

So.
Your 4-man premade cannot carry the team to victory? Please, tell me more.

^Is that really how it works though? I thought it would try to balance the skill levels of the teams, like in your example, something like 2322 vs a 3222, not a 1116

Sorry team, thats how it works... they both add up to 9 right?

Theory be the 6 can carry the 1's, and i hope, the 1's learn from the 6. BUT if that 6 got his 6 padding stats in 4 mans, and is running solo at that time... well he bjorked the system... NOT the system is bjorked.

you have it backwards.... You are assuming his 6 came from grouping, when in fact his 6 may have been a result of solo dropping and NOT getting forced onto a team of 1's, which is precisely what the system is doing now. The system is messed up.
