Question: What does being legged do to your speed?

Got legged on Forest Colony today and I noticed that my speed was roughly halved to 50kph.
When I was taking fire I was slowed to 15kph. About 30sec after I got to cover and stopped taking fire my speed went back to 50kph.

Does anything else effect your speed when you're legged? Maybe terrain? Or is there a built in snare to legged mechs that take fire so we don't have legged lights going 70kph around the map.

It's a built-in snare (not sure if it's intentional) - getting legged drops your speed by half and taking fire while being legged slows you to a crawl.

Well, keeping at least some armor on the legs helps to aleviate the problem... :D
