I ended up only breaking into the top 100 assaults with a squeaky 93rd at one stage, then a thread or later, a dozen rplies after needing a break from i tell you 6 hours of river city night and the old ice map game after game. even the very few times Casutic came up that was a welcome change. i think i honestly went on a 4 hour stint of just the same 2 maps.

he knows what he's doing when he was leading he had done 12+ hours, i know cause i dropped with and him on some occasions and we were disgusing this on all chat. people are nuts to do this sort of thing for so long it's actually a health risk.

i'd actually be embarresed to win this kind of tourny it would point out that i have no life responcibilities pleasures etc outside a beta game.

i'm so happy the op has come to his senses he's already proven he's a good pilot and that's enough. just check the win/loss ratio and it gives a slight idea he's a benifit to his team. i'd certainly want to fight beside him.

Yesterday evening I was around 20th-27th in heavies for most of the night. And I had had some very good games, thought not too many. Checked again this morning...300th. And I quit right there. They have said number of games played is a small factor in the determination of ranking. And while that may be true. In context the more games you play the more points you get. Heavy leaderboard top at 300 games right now? And still another day left to go? The hell with that

I opted in but never had any intention of actually participating since it just rewards people that marathon through the weekend and prevents people that play casually from even having a chance.

I'm fine with the only cockpit item I ever own being the Dawn statue.

Broceratops is also one of the last I'd expect to see a post like this from, so I guess that says something. I don't know what, but something.

EDIT: Also doesn't help that the only reward is quite literally a cockpit item. Could at least give out a special camouflage pattern, premium time, a permanent cbill bonus... So many possibilities but no, you get a ribbon if you marathoned it harder than everyone else.

EDIT2: And then I actually read the thread and he didn't actually give up.

Cheers man. I gave up after reaching the top 10, in something like 7 hours. I went to bed and screwed my rank, but i'm still happy that i had proof to be an elite assault pilot

Maybe if i was younger.... I might have tried grinding this. I'm more a team player than I was, heck, this IS a team game. I didn't bother to opt in so, but that doesn't mean I am over the hill in terms of mech. Not yet anyway! I still got plenty of life left in me to tolerate playing mech for another 15 years ;-)

Played some on Friday and Saturday, and gave it rest. It was fun going back to Solo, nearly retired from that in the Jenner-D and terrorizing everyone.

Playing and being in the top 10 proves that there are a lot of good pilots out there and should be an honour to fight such good pilots. I had great fun playing with them, best pug matches i've ever had on MWO, and i say this as a premade player.

I was in TS3 with my clanmates while i was pugging, and foud them also in the opposing team while they where playing premades! Maybe at the next tournament i won't give up, and i hope all good pilots that i met won't too!
