A single Clan Mech Viper(BV 1,484) challenges the IS Assualt lance.
BV IS = 5093
BV Clans = 1,484
Who will win? Why?

the Viper B mounts an Clan ER PPC. Statistically that Clan Warrior can stay at max range and the IS Mech can never hit him.

why? just bring a Small Laser, it's like a flamer but with better dmg and you can still use it against mechs.
Flamers and MGs are like AOE weapons thus hitting more troopers in a platoon than any other weapon. I think in some of the older rules PPCs also effected many troopers. That is why they are so damaging when used on infantry. Against Elementals you want several Mediums.

There was a bombing that really upset the clans.
So they went from house to house, burning the civilians alive inside until the 'bomber' came forth an confessed. An odd request as they really didn't even know if the bomber had died in the blast, or had fled the scene, or was a psychopath who just didn't care. Then a old buddist monk came forth and confessed to the murder to stop the massacre. The elemental killed him and walked away, either too arrogant or too ignorant to realize what had really happened.
Yeah those guys are real heroes and should be around children.

Oh please, that was Clan Smoke Jaguar, those guys are designed to be the most evil faction in BT till the WoB showed up.

Quoting for emphasis. I also like how most of the anti-Clan arguments that are put forth that actually try to rationalize the hate (beyond the people who hate the Clans due to a BT Table Top experiences) are examples of the Clan Smoke Jaguar actions. Turtle Bay comes up a lot. Hey, not even the other clans were particularly fond of them, either.
Hell, the original Khan of the Jaguars had a love affair with the original Khan of the Nova Cats, and instead of taking rejection like an adult, he stuffed the corpse of a Dagda Feline in a Nova Cat iron womb. Real adult, there. Real adult. *slow clap*

Logical Fallacy: No True Scotsman
You have a society designed to idealize violence and death, and you somehow think that the Smoke Jaguars are an aberration?

The main opponent would be enemy battle-armor. One shot and multishot missiles. Flamers. Anti-personnel gauss rifles. Heavy and light machine guns. Lasers, pulse lasers. Infantry PPCs. Recoilless rifles and mortars. Battle-claws for melee!
Even more notably - jump jets could allow jumping dozens of times a units length. Buildings could be climbed. It'd be quite a new game compared to what we've seen before.
If Mech's appear it would be only PvE... (with the Mech following a simple, pre-scripted route). Swarm attacks could follow a 'rhythm' type gameplay. The teamwork required to bring down a 20 ton mech using direct fire would be quite exciting!
So I think there should be a second game.

Yes, this would be an amazing idea! This is not a brand new concept though. You could, and we did, and it was a lot of fun, in MechWarrior Living Legends. Damn fun being a Battle Armour and blasting other BA while Mechs are belting out Autocannon rounds, and missiles are exploding all around you. . . and then you get the other BA, and now you focus on the enemy Mechs. Damn beautiful.

Think of them as a set of deployable drones, to harass, or help with an enemy.

That's a rather black and white view, generally the Clans fight to preserve life instead of squandering it.
