What if the mission objectives gave you more points than killing the entire enemy team? just like right now you get more points for killing them all then capping, for objective based games, you could be given a huge c-bill bonus by completing obj.

We should never have that.
This game should all but force a fight. You should not be able to win without destroying or seriously damaging most or all of the opposing mechs, for the most part. Obviously we'll occasionally figure out a way to game the system, but the system should have the purpose of both creating places to fight, and causing those fights to occur in more than one place on the map (hence multi-stage game modes would be awesome.)
It should be all but impossible to bypass the opposing team's forces and win.

If you keep in mind how the missions in MechWarrior 2 were structured, it's not difficult at all to bring it to MWO. Especially when these multi-objectives should have some sort of allotted time to complete. Another great addition should be having non-controlled yet destroyable enemy turrets mounted on Dropships or bases.

I don't see any issue with adding a mission based game mode. I think it would be something to strive for down the road. The question is, how far down the road are we?
