I doubt it will replace the K2 for dual gauss/AC20 once the novelty of it being new wears off.

However, I think we can all agree that the best possible loadout for this mech will be four machine guns.

No, pretty sure in order to set it up with dual gauss or ac20's you're going to be losing like all of it's armor, and engine size.

It'll be no better or worse than a cat, better in the case of a dual AC20, you can actually get an XL in there.

more like the next cataphract 4x

QUAD UAC5s, XL engine, Max armor, ENDOSTEEL and as much ammo you can push into the frame

good-day gentlemen.

= Likely left with 150-200 rounds for 4 Ultra AC/5's, not alot.

Meh may have to be slow, but I WILL have a quad UAC5 "Dakkathis" Jager. Its happening.

I already pick on Atlases with m Muppets, the Jager is going to be a beast until it's ammo runs dry.

To be fair; We might end up with the JM7 which, at least, is 5 tons heavier.

Still, problem will be tonnage... many folks may opt for glass cannon builds to run the kinds of ballistics the Jag will open up. 4 UAC is a dream, but probably not a realistic one.

A dream? PSSSSH, People mount x4 AC5's on the 4X phract, and with only +4 Tons from 4 UAC's + the XL engine... No dude, there will be a slue of quad UAC Jager's when they launch. I'll go as far to say it'll be the #1 dropped mech of it's class that week.

IF you can get all four UACs going double rate without instantly jamming, SOMETHING is getting ****** up. Period, that is a TON of metal in the air at a time.

I'm thinking two separate weapons groups, triggered at the same time, each set on chain fire.

Left click= Left Arm
Right click= Right arm

That way you can chain and shoot around rocks and corners (and friendlies).

I think the quad uacs will be possible in a "triple gauss muromets" kind of way. Not impossible but requiring too many sacrifices for most folks to take it seriously. However, that being said. The first thing I do after I swap out the ferro for ES on my DD will be run a silly 4x UAC/5 Jagermech.

Also, here's to hoping that the torso twist is commensurate with what an AA mech should have.
I have been waiting for this baby for what seems like a loooooooong time. The CTF-4X kinda diminished my anticipation a bit but I am still excited. I'm thinking of naming my Jagermechs after various soviet AA weapons. When I think of the Jagermech with its terrible jenner armor and the serious dakka it can mount, I can't help but think of it like a contemporary Zu-23 mounted on the back of a beat up 1981 2WD Toyota.

Well, if it actually does have 4 energy hardpoints rather than the minimum 2, four machine guns in the arms would probably make a good secondary armament to your quadruple torso mounted PPCs.
