As a speed freak I love idea of a 135k medium mech. Trouble is it costs 17 million notes to make so I thought I'd post it up here and get some opinions before I commit to making it.

Problem with this is that it's too weak (xl) and not enough fire power.. just barely above that of a light. :/

A 40 point alpha isn't too bad. Agree with the weak problem but i'd like to think it's much harder to hit at that speed.
Would love a try before you buy option!

That's one mean popsicle. I'd shift a little armor from the arms to the legs, but I'm not looking forward to facing builds like this.

Not a fan of XL engines on brawlers, just too risky in my opinion. A standard engine 310 would let you go 110.5k with the speed tweak skill. That's still pretty fast, and the engine is much cheaper.
Going 135k does sound amusing, but I wonder if you'll actually be able to use that much speed. What are you looking to do with your Centurion? The only thing 135k sounds good for is either capping as a distraction or chasing lights which distracts you from the main battle. I often find that I need to reduce my speed when supporting assaults on the way to battle and that's on my Yen Lo Wang which only goes 69k. At 135k you're going almost three times faster than an assault! I suppose it could be good if you run away from assaults constantly.

Also XL's are not really for brawlers.. I'd suggest some energy+lrm combo if you want to go fast (and maybe trebuchet's rather than cents)
Is there a particular reason why you wanted the D instead of A?

CN9-A only has 2 energy hardpoints :-)
Check out this guy: Bolt. 132 kph, nearly full amor, and 2 machineguns to annoy the light mechs:-)
