I said it in PM, I'll say it here. Congratulations. MWO first over all Champ. And all around good sport. Enjoyed my Drops with you much more than against you. Even if my 2,244th place butt didn't belong in an Elo drop with you. :)
you and Mr 144 deserve a good sportsman award also!

Why would you waste5e time on this thinly veiled stress test? Does your epeen need that much attention? I play for fun not cockpit "trophies" boggles my mindthat people even participated. Then complain. Lunacy. Find friends. Go outside. Drink heavily. Something anything would be better than what you did this weekend. Pick up a book. Stop crying because you wasted your time when you knew the rules up front. Sheesh.

Well done Broceratops, congratulations! You had a plan, you executed on it, and you deserve the win.

People are going to give you the typical "get a life" blah blah blah. But #1 grinder is still a #1. Sometimes grinds can be fun, other times they can be annoying but worth it for victory.

The only time I have ever did a similar grind fest is when the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare came out. I happened to have a few days off work and played for basically 48 hours straight to become one of the first people to hit max rank. I posted some videos of the end game weapons on youtube and got half a million views. It was pretty cool.

Of course, I'll never in my life do it again. I think you lose just a little bit of your soul in the process.

Broceratops, great dropping with you on many matches. However, I have to disagree with some of your points. At NO time whatsoever should this game have been a grindfest like this at all. That I do agree with. But the way it broke down, It was just overall a brutal way to play. For you the amount of games you played...that's insanity. And the 40+ hours of being awake for the weekend...that takes a negative toll on your body. Does PGI want that for all of their players to play this game?

And while it was good to drop with many people here and see a bunch of familiar faces from the forums, and some people recognizing me, which was cool, at the same time, I saw a huge ugly side of the game from the play from the contest. People not cooperating with each other, people getting pissed at kill stealing, a crapload of base capping instead of gameplay where in at least 20 of my matches, it was reduced to base caps where I received NO damage and didn't fire a shot. The contest actually got to the point to where people in solo play were tired of losing in PUG matches, so they joined 4-man teams with the express purpose of spoiling the solo/PUG play and people were capping bases so people would end up with LOW scores for their matches, just to ruin other people's chances of a possible good game.

I've always tried to see PGI's side of the coin on this, but bottom line, PGI dropped the ball on this contest and did a POOR job. As you said, this was not based on skill, but on who could grind the most.

I'm happy you won though, but still, can you show off your banner to others in the game? Not really unless they get killed and happen to spectate on your mech and watch you in your mech...if it happens to be the mech where you have your banner in at the time.

And let me say this...this isn't me whining or crying because I lost. This is me voicing my complaint for this contest as it was handled poorly.

Actually after dropping against Steel Jaguars in the RHoD league, I'm glad to see that you are the best player out there, because I'd have to quit if there was anyone better!

Grats on the win, and you're welcome for that one assist I helped you out with on that one map, I'm sure you remember.

I saw you in at least one drop this weekend. Once I found out it was quantity and not quality that would make the difference in this challenge I stopped. I had my kids this weekend so other than a bit on Friday late night and Sunday evening I wouldn't play and so had no chance of getting on the boards.

You ground it out hard though and congratulations to you for iron-manning your way to the top. :)

I hereby move that in honor of this achievement, a Broceratops variant be made and that it be awarded to anyone crazy enough to win one of these tournaments. Bask in your glory, Broceratops- it was very, very well deserved.

Killed Bro, repeatedly.

I got ********** by his team in my poptarticus trenchbucket :)

It was like playing a premade of people in the top 50 of the ladderboard, which was odd considering I only ever made top 200 heavies and mediums.

Yes. Did you miss your nap today?

I love your trolling. So well executed. You seem to have the same emotional issues as the op. Namely an intense inability to be satisfied with yourself and a need for outside validation. One day you will realize that you dont need others pattingyou on the ba c k to make you feel good. Of course that will require you do something of at least minimal importance one day es o you probably wont. So sad. And ya know what? A nap sounds nice. I think Ill ehut down my practice early and reschedule my aappointments so I can take one. I was up til 3 am playing 4 mans with my regiment. Yeah a nice nap sounds delightful. Thanks for the idea!

Ps. Just told my receptionist about this and she wanted me to thank you for the paid afternoon off. Shes going to get her hair done. How nice for her!
