Machine gun?
I know I've walked up behind a mech while my UAC/5 was jammed with too much heat for the Pulse Lasers and fired off the Machinegun "just because the torso is red... who know?" and laughed when he popped.

Not sure, about the guy with 1 point. It was way back in closed beta. For my 2 point kill, it was an ac/20 from long distance. My slow a** couldn't get to the fight before it was done.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one this has happened to. A couple of weeks ago I ran past a friendly Stalker and was awarded (penalized) a TK as he keeled over. So that's my kill with the lowest damage...not a single weapon fired lol

I've had that happen to me. StreakCat versus me in my Commando, only two left, on our base. I was out of ammo so I shut down so he couldn't fire his streaks, he proceeded to jump on me to kill me and win the match.
I've also killed myself numerous times by running too fast over uneven terrain, and a couple of times by smashing my Commando's face into the crotch of an Atlas.
As for least amount of damage dealt for a kill, I've had several time where a single shot with a weapon just makes the target go boom - I've never managed to see beforehand if they were really, really damaged or if it's just a glitch, but it's been everything from a single medium laser to a LB-10X shot that's done it.

I always keep the small laser in the hunchbacks head, to me it's a lucky charm.

I had a really weird game about 3 weeks ago in my K2 where I got four kills and only did 97 dmg. Started the match completely out of position, then as I finally caught up to the action, everything I shot fell over.

however a guy i play with managed a hilarious 1 damage kill and then died. Running in a cicada in the frozen city tunnel he smacked dead on into the bright red CT of a mech i was fighting, but got hung up on the mech long enough to get obliterated in the on going crossfire with his teammates.

On the other hand I have had 5 with 124. Few headshots and couple of steals
Jenners ftw, confirming those kills whereever possible!

I once lost a Raven to this, heavily damaged (everyone in the brawl was actually, lots of LRMs that day) and slammed a hard left down a River City alley to get out of a Hunchback's sights, slam a hard right as I exit, only to come face to face with an awesome at full speed, try to slip between him and the building. Impail my unarmoured and damaged left side torso on his arm-cannon. Explode, giving him a hilarious low damage kill and presumably leaving half a Raven hanging off his PPC.
Given as I tend to play fairly hit-and-run/jousty, I often find I have heat to fire, but am out of LOS of my main target, so obviously I throw a laser volley off at whatever hostile is giving me a nice shot at the time. A surprising amount of the time, it's a random killshot - I guess they're shielding the wounded component from the guy they are fighting, hence it gets exposed to the passing Raven. Stalkers sans a side torso are especially vulnerable to this, as are (god knows why) Awesomes.
There's also, during my MG-patch-testing, been a couple of instances where I've sprayed an unarmoured side torso on a mech I'm not engaging (as per above, really) and been rewarded with an ammo explosion. (Not often enough to stick with the useless things, mind.)
