We really need a solution for disconected players - maybe disconnect one from enemy team for every one who disconnects from other team. Make that disconnected one by force not to get any harm. What ever .... like it is now, it's SOOOO stupid.

The even worst thing is Disconnectors while in matchmaker - that stupid matchmaker does not react....

Somebody dc's on the other team, I get kicked from my team for it. My mech is stuck in a match through no fault of mt own. Bad idea. **** happens, adapt to changing conditions or die trying.

I know, it's not a real good idea - but better than NO idea...

being able to reconnect to the game after you crash would be ideal.

I've actually won a 5v8 once while being on the team of 5...

The only DC'ing that is troublesome are the folks who do it before death (prevents the killer[s] from getting their due rewards). For start-of-match DC'ing, I could maybe see a tiny heat-efficiency, ammo storage, or C-Bill + XP boost for the smaller team. That's about it.

EDIT: This idea is probably the best one of all:

I'm not sure, but I think some players disconnect if they don't get Alpine and just grab another mech and try again. When you combine it with the legit discos it seems like it is worse than normal.

The idea of letting a dead player take over the DC'd mech is a great idea but could be trolled so easily. Build a mech with no weapons, play a game, DC... instant troll. :D

Maybe a respawn per DC for the team down a player? First person to die seems like a bad choice though since they probably weren't helping all that much to begin with. That'll need some more thought.

Also, their death is still counted to mech right now, which would be bad unless they made the stats stay with the pilot instead.

I wouldnt want someone else sitting in my cockpit, getting it all grimy lol.

I didn't know about the scoring death's tied to the mech. To the other point, I'm sure they have disinfectant and air fresheners still. If you got your mech second hand, someone had to get the stench of death and blood off the upholstery. :D

If you have a player DC on your team, the first person who dies gets 10 seconds to pick a trial mech and re-join the fight.

Would be highly amusing to see.

I think the best way to fix this is for all of us to move to Canada and hook up to PGI's Lan.

The only thing that bugs me is disconnect before death. Yeah funny how they dissappear right before they die. I know they get a death but Pilot should get a kill to boot on anything over 50% damaged.

Air fresheners are Lostech, sorry.

I think we should start a global campaign aimed at improving internet connections world wide! Maybe we can get Google to help.

Of course, this won't help against the people that DC intentionally, but it's a start!

Lately the game has had a lot of screen lock up issues so a lot of DCs are not intentional and I know when it happens to me, I have to end my game through the task manager so that means a complete restart of my client. I would not have any way to then reconnect to that game in time. Until PGI can get all these screen freeze issues and other disconnect issues under wraps, we just have to deal with it and try to understand that most of these DCs are not intentional.

To end screen lockups, I just hit alt+tab to minimize the game and then go right back into it. It leaves me vulnerable for a few moments but it sure beats disconnecting. Everything runs smoothly after that's done (at least for me).

I allways roll a D8 when it happens and announce the person that needs to disconnect per chat.

But they never obey my dice roll .... :D

Seriously though I favor the let dead pilots take over the mechs option. It's similar in CS:GO where you can take over bots if you die.
