I was cleaning things up a couple of weeks ago and this guy popped up. I knew I had it but I just didn't remember where. The rest of the set is scattered though, and I'm not sure if I have it all anymore..

I was around but at the time I didn't know about BT.

Alas, I didn't get to mess with BT until I came into contact with MechWarrior 3.

Since than, I've blown an obscene percentage of my liquid assets to get what little of the BT stuff I have... and to drive to places to read the stuff, even though I didn't have the dough to buy it at the time.

Silly, no?

Nope, that was way before my time, I was more from the TRO 3058/3060 era.

You whippersnappers and the fancy new game. :) Back in my day we didn't have a Mech Game in English. We played with Japanese rules and hoped for the best.

Third Edition?! The holy grail of Battletech.... First version I ever played. It's what got me into the game.

I first played 4th edition. I since acquired a mint copy of 2nd however. Then the newer Catalyst box, as well as a 25th anni box.

You never forget your first:

Bought on sight way back when on a routine trip to the game store. Had no clue what it was. Wish I still had it. I think I still have the OG Mechwarrior RPG rulebook and a TRO:2750 sitting on a shelf though.

I remember seeing that Dougram game and drooling over the little periscope set up used to check line of sight. It was also stupid expensive.

I got Battledroids chipping in with a friend of mine at the time, passing up on Warbots and Death Machines.

As a side note, I went and got the SF3D games a few years back in a fit of nostalgia. Now if I can only con my friends into playing it some day. lol

S.F.3.D now that brings back some memories. I remember spending waaaay more money than I had to pick up the model kits. I saw the game only once back in '86 and haven't seen it since. I know it was imported by TCI, may a thousand praises be upon them for helping me survive high school. :) Even today when I take my kids to any number of Anime Con's I hit the dealers room in the hopes that someone may have an old copy I can buy for slightly less than a Bentley.

SF3D, interesting, my one slightly local model store has 5 or 6 of the models... Are they anything special now, or still being produced etc.?

Awesome....I have mine in a couple of boxes in the garage....I also have the City tech someone else posted and a third one that I want to say had space fighter rules but I can't remember. Might be getting Traveller or Silent Death mixed up in there. Does that sound familiar to anyone?
