There is the minus that if the side with that AC20 gets shot you're pretty much useless.

I run a 3D with 4 ML, LB-10X with 2 tons ammo, gauss with 2 tons ammo. Stripped out the jump jets and kept the stock engine (280 xl if I remember correctly) and regular heat sinks. It seems to work pretty well. Gauss gives it sort of a mid-range sniper ability if you use cover fairly well. Just don't get caught in the open trying to go toe to toe with the other team because that xl engine becomes a liability real quick.

Play what you already have until you can afford the basic upgrades.

That is pretty much exactly how I ran mine to. 2xLlas, 2xMlas and an ERPPC works really well to, DHS mandatory though and when you get endo you can have 20 in there with the standard 300 engine.
