Other than gaining a miraculous 50 IQ points, just make everyone invincible the first 10 seconds of a game, with countdown timer that way people playing *** grab will know that when to stop shooting at each other for harmless "funzies." A lot of FPS' use this invincibility system, and I am frankly getting sick of getting alpha'ed by some mentally challenged player who's too challenged to even type a sorry.
Not as much flame as you'd think.

This is an issue that happen very rarely, so no change is required. It would also raise issues on some maps where you can shoot at the enemy within the first 10 seconds (river city). And if someone want to shoot you, waiting 10 seconds won't stop him.

Not rarely...Seen it happen or had it happen in at least 50 percent of my games.
Of course...it could just be people don't like me.

I hear it is usually due to people clicking the button on their taskbar after alt-tabbing out while the match is being populated, or mistakenly hitting the backspace key while assigning weapons. I do not see it as 'mentally challenged'...just an accident.
That said...if the mechs were spread out or rotated in such a way as to make this impossible at match start, I think it would happen a lot less.
