Simple suggestion made out of desperation. Given that PGI refuse to acknowlege how wildly broken ECM is lets work constructively to polish this ****.

So the fundamental concept is that ECM is a tool for scouts (or Atla[i/s/s's]) to prevent detection and also stop the unnecessarily damage boosted LRMs wrecking everything.

ECCM should be a completely different module that counters ECM and effectively turns the equipped mech into a scout (or Atla[i/s/s's]) hunter.

These modules should not be able to be equipped at the same time (they interfere with each other).

Any thoughts? At least it would force mechs to specialise into a roll and mean that lights can either shoot Streaks at other lights OR be immune to Streaks - not either at the tap of a key.

From what I've understood, they HAVE aknowledged that ECM is unbalanced and said it will be reworked. Don't have any link but someone else might give you that.
