Automated Base Defenses

I realize this is a pretty significant game mechanic to add. I have no illusions that adding destructible environmental elements is a "drop-in" solution, but it seems to me to be a no-brainer to have this on the table for down the road.

Apparently features like this are planned ... control of defense elements is supposed to be part of the purpose behind the command console in the Atlas D-DC

Unfortunately we will probably not see this in a very long time. It just seems logical that a base that is susceptible to capture should have some sort of automated defenses. First I think we would need bigger maps though. The current ones are just too tiny.

Another variant that would benefit from such a mechanic would be a match type where one team defends a base while the other attacks. In this game type, the attacking team wouldn't even HAVE a base. In that situation, a big base like the one pictured above with lots of heavy weapons would make sense. It would take a coordinated attack to win...gimme!

I'm pretty nostalgic of MW3 right now so I know what you mean. This would definitely add more strategy. Unfortunately it might just turn back into BrawlWarrior Online unless maybe we got bigger maps?

Also, since we do not have any rearm and repair costs, can we have a winner-take-all rule here? If you lose, you get nothing, no c-bills, no ZP, nada, zip. Although I have no strong objections to token rewards for trying.

And let the mindless blobs have their own TDM. They can fight WW1 style to their heart's desire.
