If you compare them there are slight differences other then just skin colour. (makes you wonder if they will have a different model in game as well, or if one is just a newer art design. (thanks to some random unamed person for lining this image up) Atlas having the largest difference, Catapult has a different cockpit as well

Yes, we know. There have been several threads about this already. I assume they're just cosmetic skins and don't actually change the functionality of the 'Mech itself.

Good eye, the operation inception Atlas looks like the one out of the Mechwarrior reboot trailer, where as the MW:O concept art one looks more modernized. That's just for the cockpits, though.

How about the Atlas then? I see only 10 LRMs on it, as opposed to standard 20. What variant/custom model is that?

you poopy head, just look at gameplay footage, the default atlas has the same looking LRMs as the founder one, its just the concept art that has 2 of them ;)

The original atlas concept art shows LRMs in both side torsos; however, this was one LRM20 split into two locations, and that was not implemented in the actual Atlas in-game model (check the screenshots and video, and you'll only see LRM banks on one side). It's an LRM20 with only 10 missiles visible from the front. The newer Operation:Inception Atlas art features the correct placement of the LRM20 in one side torso only and not spread into two locations.

So the difference is only in design? Then the founders Hunchback is meaningless: it looks exactly like the original.

It's cockpit is slightly different as well.
The jenner is the one that looks the same.

The Hunchback is the least modified, but it is not exactly the same. The windows are different (all red instead of a ridged texture) and the chin is noticeably different. It also has additional antenna sticking off it's head.

And a sweet paint job

Jenner's cockpit in the founders version is much more rounded, more spherical, when the default is very angular

Nope, the jenner is different as well. note how rounded the upper section of the head is, compared to the angled original

It just a cosmetic change I think. I would take a Founder's Atlas since I wager in game Assaults would be too bloody expensive to maintain and purchase with C-bills. ;)

Rest like lights and mediums, I can afford I guess.

I think the main/important difference that nobody in this thread has mentioned yet is the increased C-bill generation per match.....all else is aesthetics/vanity.

The c-bill bonus didn't need mentioning, it's very clearly stated in the founder's package explanation. The cosmetic differences on the Jenner and Hunchback are somewhat more subtle ;)

Also, look at the top of the head/scruff of the neck. It's built up and connects directly to the back instead of having a stand-alone head. I think it looks much improved and because of that small addition I think I'll be going with that new Hunchback.

The Founder's Catapult looks more like the original Catapult. The way one is supposed to look. Yes, the Catapult has a beak, similar to a Ravan, but the Catapult came first, LONG before the Raven was brought about.

Keep in mind these are concept art, not game models. Additionally it is worth nothing that neither Jenner has a cockpit that matches the gameplay videos.
