Boats. Any boat. Also ECM changes any mech into cheese.

short list:

3L ravens
AC20 cats
Splatcats
gausscats
streakmandos
3D jumphracts
DDCs
PPC STKs
LRM boats

This is just silly, you've classified at least half of all mech builds as cheese.

So since PPC stalkers, LRM stalkers and SRM stalkers are all considered "cheese", what Stalker isn't?
So if gauss, LRM and SRM catapults are cheese, what Catapult isn't?

Stalkers are 2 cheese mechs crammed into one bro, too many MLAS and too many SRM6 all at the same time

I don't make the rules mang.

You can make mixed load out builds with both STKs and CPLTs.

You do not see them all that often, but they re out there.

I run my Stalker 3F with the following:

2 ERPPCs
1 LL
1 LRM15
3SSRM2s

And I have been called a "cheese" build many times. The term has lost all meaning/

Half of the builds you mentioned aren't even cheese builds...you're just whining about getting killed.

How is a 3xUAC Muromets, Guasspult, or DDC a cheese mech?

Well I have to say it is not funny if I encounter 4xRaven-3L or 4xSplatcat playing as a lance when I am in Trebuchet with 2xERLLas,1xAC5 and 2xSRM2.
This makes me cry how this game is rulled by minmaxers with cheesy builds instead of players with skill.

IMO if you intentionally make a bad mech you kinda know what you're getting into.

Call them cheese builds if you want, but they are only as good as the person piloting them. Also, if you insist upon playing a non "cheese build" for whatever reason and you lose to "cheese builds", don't cry about it, no one is stopping you from using a "cheese build."

what isnt a cheesebuild according to bad players? every single mech i've piloted (INCLUDING the trial atlas) i have been called a cheese mech. gotten to the point i'd just as soon assume its the paintjob.

(that would be jenners, catapults, stalkers, cataphracts(no jj) and a variety of trial mechs)

What happens when you get a skilled player behind that D-DC?

Can't really say I've noticed any more cheese builds than before. On the other hand, it seems the definition of "cheese build" gets looser and looser as time goes on. Sometimes it seems like any build that kills someone is a cheese build.

Seems?? Why you know, I do believe you have hit upon said very definition.

Atlas are 100tons

100tons is cheese

(also a swiss cheese camospec would be totally cheese and OP)

According to the forums a cheese build is something that people find easy to use and/or do well in.

Then my 4SP with two srm 4 and five mediums is a cheese build
To me a AC20 cat is not cheese , because of speed, lack of armor or various other sacrifice the pilot has to made to field it. Was in a match with three of them twice yesterday and our team ate them for lunch, hell the first group did not score higher then 140 damage, but god help you if they get too close.

LRM boats are not cheese because they depend on their allies almost completely, a pure LRM boat is one tasty tasty lunch if someone comes to their rescue.

PPC Stalker is not cheese due to sheer heat of both version, and at close range is nearly as defenseless as a pure LRM boat, save the erppc boat who will over heat in NO TIME, same for the ppc atlas, all version rely on the pilot being a decent shot.

Gauss builds, are not cheese, due to nerfed guass being extra explodie and requiring aim and sheer weight.

Poptart 3D build is not cheese, but is annoying as hell watching that thing bounce up and down. Don`t know why it bothers me so, I rarely die to one.
There are a few that I probably missed but I`m done thinking. I will close with saying I hate streaks :D
