There are no problems with the hitboxes on the Raven legs. I use them all the time in MY 3L to take out enemy Ravens. Aim better.

I tried shooting its leg (singular) while it was overheated, 75 damage worth of lasers and SRMs done not including the mobile brawling. Leg was still working... I don't understand...

When I pilot a Raven, it sure doesn't feel like I have some sort of "hitbox/lagshield protection". Even if I try maneuvering erratically, zig-zagging, changing my speed up and down as I do, I still get hammered by everything from PPCs to lasers to autocannons unless I duck behind cover. Sure, some might only be glancing hits, but glancing hits on a light still hurt. Ow. And yes, legging works quite well. So does hitting my side torsos (they're bigger than you might think, they stretch to cover the center torso along most of the 'beak' on the sides). And center torso. And I've been headshot while moving once, by PPCs. And I get my arms shot off half the time. Cover and engaging enemies distracted by friendlies are my best defenses, I've found.

Maybe I'm too aggressive (switching mindsets from piloting a Hunchback to a Raven), maybe my ping isn't high enough, I don't know. (under 50ms on average, occasionally 80ms)

Mind you, I'm not complaining, as a light I should be shredded if something bigger than me looks at me funny. Some mechs carry more tonnage in weapons alone than the weight of my Raven's armor.

Also those ECM Commandos with three Streaks are downright nasty. Does feel nice when I land a cluster of missiles on them though.

The legs are the ONLY thing on the Raven that doesn't have a hitbox problem. That's why shooting at the legs is a good plan. Normally trying to hit a light mechs skinny little legs while they zip around is not as good as just nailing their torso. The trap of the Raven is you will miss their torso.

The legs are actually the worst target on a raven. Crushing their side torso will kill them way faster.

And to kill them even faster just hit their cockpit.

1) shoot raven in cockpit
2) watch as damage registers in left arm and rear right torso and maybe a leg

Try aiming where they connect to the body, it seems more reliable.
You can aim at the whole leg if they're running towards or away from you though.

Projectile type weapons:

Aim for the hip. It's all leg... and doesn't move back and forth like the rest of it.

The fact that we have to plan and share tips on how to kill a light mech makes me thing something is wrong with it.

Something is wrong with it, but not because planning gives an advantage.

Tactics, strategy and teamwork *do* give an advantage because this isn't a low TTK twitch-fest.
