so if a warrior comes home with shield = victory or honorable battle

shields were big and were used as stretchers = honorable death

coming home without your shield = means you dropped it on the battlefield so you can run faster

so in MWO terms, i run my Atlas with;

• 123 CT armor points / 1 point CTR
  
• 83 LT/RT armor points / 1 point LTR/RTR

so in a face-to-face vs another Atlas / Stalker / Splat & AC20 cat -- my Atlas will win the day because i have more armor than typical builds.




If i turn around, i metaphorically "drop my shield" and die like a coward.

anyway, battle-test (anecdotal) proof is as follows

EDIT: apart from above screenshots -- i speed dropped 10 games... only once was i cored from CTR...

I pilot a 132 KPH Centurion with a 40 point alpha. I'll be looking for your back. I figure it should take about 4 seconds (enough time for me to put two shots in you) for me to destroy you.

my job on the battle field is to shoot people in their back and weak spots, your team will probably not be able to kill me before I can take you down from behind.

I am constantly behind Atlases and every other mech. I will spend more time behind you than in front. I'm to fast for you to out-maneuver in that big old land-barge of yours

Lol, you don't have more armor than other builds because most pilots already max their armor, at least on the torso zones. All that does is make you vulnerable for attacks from behind. You don't even have to run away to get shot in the back.

PGI has noted on the forums that a 5V has gotten it's first kill in the game. Even they are dumbfounded

You know, as much as people claim this is light warrior online and 3Ls, 3Ls everywhere! I count 6 in 5 matches and only 1 was a 3L.

Meanwhile, I lost track of the assault count.

Also, the ECM team went 1-3-1 (win loss equal ECM)
